Baby Touch: Farm Animals: A touch-and-feel playbook

Such a lovely book. Bought for a Christmas present.Larger than expected and very colourful

As a Nursery Practitioner, I am always excited to be offered any toys or books for review as I am able to share these with the children in our Nursery. This chunky board book is great for little ones, and I will share this with the children in our baby room who are aged around 12 months. The book is printed on thick card which is ideal for little hands to explore without ripping, and there are tabs on the side of each page which helps younger hands manage to turn the pages. As the title suggests, this book features a variety of farm animals, and is split across two pages - On one page, there are a variety of farm themed images such as tractor, wellies, bucket. These are all labelled to encourage developing talkers - the adult would name the picture while pointing to it and the child could copy this to learn new vocabulary. On the right hand page is a larger picture featuring an animal such as cow, sheep, pig. These have sensory elements which little hands can explore by touch - Sensory books are really lovely to encourage enquiry and introduce textures. Farms are a familiar and popular theme for children and offer great learning experiences. This is a really lovely book with nice illustrations, interactive features and plenty of simple first words. Ideal for children aged 3 and less - The children in my playroom are aged 2 - 3 and although they would find the text fairly simple, they still love a touchy feely book.

There are lots of bright colourful pictures and textures to explore. This is a lovely touch and feel book. I love the look of the big animal faces that are tabs around the book. This can be helpful for little ones to turn the pages. This book is different and engaging. One page has a number of items to help us learn words around the farm and animals. The opposite page has a lovely big picture of the animal. Both have patches for different sensory elements.Good value. Very pleased 5*

A perfect little book to show young children about farm animals with sensory parts on all pages. Each page has fun pictures with its word/name printed next to it, simple, clear and colourful images, so you can point out teach and ask little ones what the picture is. Theres animals with textured parts to touth and feel and engage with the book, which are slightly different to touch. The pages are all bright and colourful, its been illustrated well, catching your eye from the first page to the last. All the words are printed boldly and clearly. No complicated words which children wouldn't understand. The hardback board book is of a good size, quite large, so the images arent too small. Excellent quality with well made chunky thick pages. A lovely illustrated book which you will keep going back to, pointing out and learning about animals and different parts of the farm.

Currently priced at £7.35, our toddlers absolutely love this book, it is colourful, large and very durable. It has been very popular over Easter and the book still looks brand new.

My toddler and I love this book. Lots of bright pictures and writing, with some touch and feel materials too. It's a good robust size and sturdy enough for a bit of rough play! Also really good for helping them learning words and objects to point at and learn to say.

The media could not be loaded.  Very cute and nicely done farm book. It's got quite a few different textures for kids to explore and discover. all farm related from carrots to animals. Beautiful book

This is a lovely board book about farm animals that my daughter absolutely loves. Like all board books, the pages are thick and colourful but what struck my eye is that the farm animals featured in this book is arranged above the book giving the impression that the animals are playing peek-a-boo.Lovely book.
