Q: Will these blades fit a 48in cut Husqvarna mower

Yes, they are 16” blades with the proper star pattern center hole.

Q: Are these commercial strength blades?

I don’t believe commercial mowers use the star blade. That said, these are my favorite blades. They are beefy, hold an edge for a long time and mulch amazingly well. I haven’t used anything else since I bought these. The leaf mulching performance in the fall is second to none.

Q: Do you need to buy the mulching plate as well?

To mulch the grass up, you will need to get the mulching kit (plate or other means to block the discharge of the deck). If not, these blades will perform similarly to non mulching blades
