Sega Megadrive 2 RGB Scart AV cable/lead

If you have just purchase a Mega Drive 2 & are currently playing using a AV to RF cable, I would definitely recommend getting an RGB Scart Cable if your TV has a Scart socket.The RGB Scart Cable will provide a much sharper picture with much brighter & vivid colours, bring out details in games which you would not as easily picked out using the standard AV to RF Cable provided with the console. You will also find the audio will come across much more clearly & defined with this cable, which is a benefit as the Mega Drive consoles featured a quite advanced sound chip for the time & plenty of games developers produced soundtracks + sound effects to take advantage of this feature.If you own a Mega Drive console, I would definitely recommend this cable for the best gaming experience.A thing to note is to make sure the version you are buying is specified as the Mega Drive 2 RGV Scart AV cable because there are two different versions, one designed for the 1st generation of the console & the other made specifically for the Mega Drive 2 model which feature different styles of connector inputs on the consoles.

Auto switching works (turn on megadrive and TV switched to the correct AV), great picture even on a calibrated HDTV. Cable looks hand made but its robust and reliable.

Horrible picture and sound! Ive attavhed photos with the packaging to verify my purchase. I trued this on both a SONY PVM CRT and a new SONY LCD. Unplayable. Now the hassle of a return begins...

It is not the best scart I got for a Sega megadrive its a bit glichy playing megadrive games on not the best quality scart cable and it was £9.99 I expected a better quality scart.

Tried this on both scart sockets and scart to hdmi converter and can't see any difference. Brothers has sharp edges (but can't remember where he got it from) whereas this scart they're fuzzy. Sound OK though. 3 star's as it's got my MD2 working with lcd TV 😉

If your looking for a good quality Scart cable to improve your gameplay on your Megadrive then this is it.I've tried a number of options and this is easily the best I've found. The cable is well made and provides excellent picture and sound.On one of my Tv's the volume is a little low but this is no real problem. I would recommend staying away from the cheaper options and buying this one. It's definitely worth the extra 5 pounds. I would highly recommend this item and its seller, Consolegoods. 5 Stars

He is WRONG, as the other reviewers on here would say, and you would also say if you decide to purchase this.This wire, simply put, is magic. Plug this into your Mega Drive 2, and say goodbye to the fuzz, and enjoy playing your games in a much improved display, (It displays the graphics the way they should be!), and there is an even better sound quality, though it is noticeably quieter, but that is easily remedied, just put the volume up!Whoever made this wire has a respectful salute from me, and has made this gamer very happy indeed!
