The PERFECT follow-on to Yoga Meltdown
I used Jillian Michaels' Yoga Meltdown before this DVD, and I can say that Yoga Inferno is not the place to start unless you already know your way around the basics of yoga.Yoga Meltdown is aimed at beginners, talking through form and breathing, but it is still a challenge - it's Jillian Michaels, after all, and nothing is ever so simple with her.Yoga Inferno on the other hand builds on what you learned in Yoga Meltdown. In short, it's the next level.Don't expect this DVD to be all breath work and calming. It's a Jillian Michaels DVD and it's got great strength and cardio burn. Yoga is amazing at conditioning the body by holding the poses and can seriously help you build strength and utilise your muscles. But while she has you hold the poses, Jillian makes you rep in and out of them first which burns more calories and gets your heart rate up. But moving in and out of yoga poses takes a degree of strength and balance, so you need to be able to hold the form of the final pose if you want to move in and out of it. In short, it's not easy. But my goodness it's effective.Yoga Meltdown introduces you to yoga with two workouts that increase in difficulty, but both of them maintain this hybrid cardio twist that makes it a Jillian Michaels workout. And, as you'd expect from yoga, you use only your own body weight and the only kit you need is a mat for comfort and grip. But in Yoga Inferno, only on of the two workouts uses body weight. The second workout uses light hand weights, about 1kg-1.5kg, to increase the intensity. She does state that if you're not confident enough in your poses you don't have to use the weights, but a number of the moves seem a little pointless without them. But they are very light weights so they're easy to maintain, but that doesn't mean that it's ineffective. Light weights simply mean you can do more reps than you can with heavy weights, and you will be feeling it by the end of each set.I actually found the second workout (the one with the dumbbells) more enjoyable than the first. The poses are more interesting and twisty and I feel really smug and pleased with myself when I can do them, and the weights do make me work a bit harder to maintain form and pace. But it's nice to have the option between using weights or not and, every now and then, I will use it without the weights - but like I said, sometimes some of the moves feel pointless without them so I end up grabbing them anyway. It's a truly enjoyable workout - yes, there is such a thing - and while 'Jillian Michaels' means it's hard work, it IS still yoga, and by the end you do feel calmer. The cool down helps, of course. Corpse pose might seem like the stupidest yoga post ever, but when you've just completed the workout, it's the best, best, best pose in the world.

If you liked the first one you should definitely get this one...
Having been using Jillian Michaels previous yoga dvd for a few weeks I thought this would be more of the same, but not quite! It's far more challenging and Jillian doesn't talk you slowly though each movement like she does in her Yoga Meltdown dvd. You're basically left to follow it as they do it however if you keep your dvd remote handy to pause and rewind (or pause to catch your breath!) they are easy to pick up. It is harder, and more advanced than the last dvd, but a great workout and if you felt like the second workout in dvd one was getting easy you should definitely try this dvd. You do need weights, and again it's a hybrid of yoga and cardio as before. Very good workout, I'd definitely recommend it.

Great all round workout
I purchased this after using Jillian Michaels Yoga Meltdown for a few weeks and not wanting to get bored of it. This is definitely a step up when it comes to the cardio aspect! I personally found this to be perfect for me as I don't have hours to exercise and don't like having to choose between a good stretch or cardio. This combines both aspects pretty well and you definitely get a sweat on while increasing flexibility. I would have preferred a bit more of a cool down hence not 5 stars but apart from that I definitely feel that I am getting results from using this DVD and would recommend to anyone.

Two intense 30 minute work outs to make you sweat
If you don’t have much room for jumping around at home in these coronavirus hit times then I would say this is the perfect dvd. Mixes powerful yoga poses with fast yoga repeated movements to get the heart pumping. I owuld say I am very fit and strong and this had me literally dripping with sweat at the end of each workout. The DVD consists of two 30 minute work outs, if youre feeling up to it then you can do them both!

Nice to mix up your workout routine
So good! After reading reviews on here it sounded like the kind of workout I would enjoy. and I was right! As someone else has written; it is definitely more yoga inspired than true yoga but it really makes you sweat. The modifications are brilliant and allow you to modify each move to a level suited to you; there is one woman doing advanced modifications and another doing beginner modifications so you can gradually move to advanced without getting confused. It is fast paced but after doing each routine once I found it was easy to get into the swing of it and I'm still finding it challenging after using it for a month or so in combination with other Jillian Michaels dvds.If you want something different to classic workout DVDs this is brilliant and will leave you aching afterwards :D

My favourite Jillian workout.
I have been a fan of Jillian's workouts for years now but only just bought this DVD because I hadn't realised the European version has been released.I would rate the second of the two workouts as my favourite ever Jillian workout! She combines the stretch and flexibility of yoga with regular cardio intervals and strength training with weights. If you finish a yoga session with sweat dripping off your nose you know it's doing the job. My only warning would be that they are challenging for absolute beginners, her yoga meltdown DVD is probably a better place to start. Also she doesn't give you any stretches, so when she starts her congratulation talk at the end just do a little stretching yourself.

mastered the moves and it is really good. It is very good for improving flexibility as ...
I watched the trailer for this and thought WOW! I wasn't sure I would be able to do this as it is advanced yoga with cardio and strength elements. However after several attempts I have improved, mastered the moves and it is really good. It is very good for improving flexibility as circuit traing alone doesn't elongate the muscles and does give an overall body conditioning. It is filmed on location in a desert and they are all wearing sunglasses, so it does still have the fun appeal and jokey approach. If you haven't done Yoga before I wouldn't suggest this as a starting point as it does assume familarity with moves and terminology. Overall very good.
