My grandparents used an old farmer's almanac when planting their garden and I want to do that also, and this book explains how. This book has a lot of useful information about being pest free, useful hacks for growing all year round, how to save your seeds for years to come and how to sell your excess vegetables. This was what I was looking for, a great book for creating your own garden.

Some information in this book is in metrics, not ounces, inches etc. Strange since this individual is from Iowa. Most of the information is in generalities.

After reading the reviews, I was very excited to purchase these books. However, I find that there has not been a lot of time spent on proofreading this book. There are phrases repeated that makes the reading difficult to interpret. The further I read, the more difficult I find it to trust the content. It would be great if the author could spent a bit of time cleaning up the content.

A lot of information is missing from this book. You open it and it feels like someone photo copied all the pages form another book or copied some card stock images. Poorly done- I wonder if they gathwred other things from different books and there all that information inside here. I am not too happy with it
