Perfect replacement for Agrax
Currently using a lot of Agrax shade in my painting, this presents me with the closet approximation to it in bulk, no complaints

Great for price and Go to go big projects
Need to use a lot of washes on big terrain project and saw this for good price. So far it’s done 3 tables worth of terrain washing and iv still go 2/3 left compare that to other providers washes you would have used about 20 pots at £4 a pop. I have been brushing the wash on to the models rather than dipping which allows more control of the wash. Doesn’t leave gloss finish and drys in good time. Been recommending to all my friends for their bigger projects

Wash day....... Right?
I bought this for brushing onto models but its actually for dipping small figures like the silly warhammer thingies that some people play with ( don't know why), although I'm guessing it can be brushed on like line accent washes, well that's what hoping anyway. If it works with a brush then that's a lot of black wash for way less cost than the Tamiya equivalent which is really crazily priced now, considering is only thinned down oil paint. This dip wash is acrylic by the way, not enamel or oil.

There's better alternatives
Let's get to the heart of the problem. You're allegedly supposed to be able to dip the figure in and attain the classic shadow wash required of a good miniature paint job. My hairy rear end! The tub needs to be shaken to ensure there's no settlement - dipping the figure in just makes it look like a really bad bubble-bath advert.Stirring the product and then dipping avoids the foam, but blathers the figure in a heavy, gunky mess that fails to do any shadowing and just makes the figure look like it's done a full shift of oil changes.Dilute it down and apply by brush works ok if you can get the dilution right - but in that case you may as well buy Vallejo's own smaller black wash bottle.

Great value for large area coverage
I used this as a wash on larger terrain pieces and it worked great. A cheaper alternative than regular black washes for large area coverage. Haven't tried it on models though.

good shade
a very good shade for figures i painted some 28mm WW2 Russian infantry with the base colour then applied this shade really made them look good and gave depth to the figure plus very easy to use

Don't dip.
Good stuff however I'd advise not dipping as the name suggests but dabbing on carefully with a soft brush.

A great wash for large pieces
This wash is a great alternative when you are working with terrain pieces. I would say it is a little dark for miniatures, but works great on scenery or things you need a dark wash on. It will dry glossy if you put too much. I find that when using it for scenery I apply with a large brush or sponge. It can be messy, but it washes off hands quite easily.

Worth it
Totally worth it. Darker than Nuln oil, so I made a wash mixing this and some water in another container to thin it out, works great!!

Great
Really effective wash for figures. You get a lot for your money, unlike Army Painter which is hideously expensive!

molto dark
fino ad ora diluivo il colore per i lavaggi. questo è molto più rapido. attenzione è molto scuro.
