Makes day time look like nighttime
Measure twice, purchase once. For what I need, these are perfect and a decent price. I have an old home with original old wooden windows. They measure 31” wide. When I unboxed the shade and measured it, it’s 30” wide. The bracket and roller insert for both ends comes out to 31”. But they come close enough to the edge of the window and significantly blocks out the light. To force me to be picky, there is a slight gap up top but it still blocks light from the top enough to be satisfied. The shade is very thin and lightweight but NO light gets through. The “chain” to raise and lower is plastic and looks like it could break easily. However I will not be raising and lowering the shade daily so this does not bother me at all. Installation is quick as well. The screws are a bit big for the weight of the shade which took the longest amount of time for installation. But again, these are perfect for what I need, so I’m very satisfied.

work really well at keeping out light
I have west facing bedroom windows that heat-up the entire room during Texas summer days. I have tried alot of different blinds and shades but these have worked the best. Very easy to install. I didn't use the drywall mounts, as it's a very tight fit, I used the screws only. Measure carefully, I have one window that is about 1/8" narrower than the other 2 and it was a VERY tight fit, almost had to return it for a larger size. See photos for details on light blocking. Great item for the price!!!

Great value
Completely blocks light as advertised. Installation is a little bit more fiddly than expected but still easy enough - tip: temporarily secure the two roller assemblies to the rod with some duct tape (the handyman's secret weapon) to prevent them falling out when installing. Quality of material and manufacturing in relation to its attractive price is adequate or better than expected.

They look so much more clean than regular blinds! I can still hear the monsters at night though.
Instillation is really really simple. I was relieved to have all 3 measured and drawn by sun down. Everything is pretty much put together for you straight out of the box and you really only gotta measure to make sure you drill them in evenly spaced apart so they don't like stupid like mine because I'm dumb and refuse to measure for reasons even I don't quite understand. My stupidity side, even when the sun is pounding directly on them, drawing them will ensure the room will become at LEAST 80% darker and I'm not exaggerating. These bad boys (or girls, I dunno, do shades/blinds have pronouns?) It Will absolutely turn high noon into nearly midnight instantly and it's amazing for gaming, movies, TV, migraines, or whatever other activities y'all enjoy doing in the dark, like avoiding looking out the dark window and catching contact with those endless black... Eyes. Seriously though somebody please tell me, do these little guys only come at night? They're really thick, and really smooth drawing them looks ultra modern compared to the standard blinds made up of a hundred disconnected small blades or whatever you call em, so not a single beam of light gets through where they're wired together in normal blinds. I bet I could even point a projector at them and watch grease lighting or happy days all afternoon while I cry and reminisce about the 1990s stuffing my face with KFC dipped in bacon grease, and I don't even worry about the paparazzi pointing tiny little cameras at me through the little holes that tie the blinds up because there are none on these bad babies. Unfortunately though, they don't stop them from whispering... Things directly into your brain all night long! I'm serious. I love them so much that I wish I could take them with me when I go out and wear them on my body so when people try to talk to me at big lots or the crab shack, (yeah boi, u know!) I could just pull the cool little pearl necklace, uhh retractor cord wrapped around my neck and go stealth mode on those loser Reddit mods! Man, you gotta buy these. I'm not kidding. Buy these. Seriously you will love them. You can do anything with em. You just gotta think outside the box a little. Are you seriously still reading this, Grandma? Just freaking go buy these already! Stop reading this trash review and give these geniuses your cash, right now! You will not regret it I promise.

Easy install!
I bought these for my daughter's room so she could sleep in without the bright sun waking her up. Super easy to install and keeps the room extremely dark. Works great!

Fits tight in 24 inch opening.
It is 24 inches, but it is better if your opening is at least a quarter inch more for easier installation, and operation of up and down. Otherwise they are very good and I am happy with them.

Great for Narrow Windows
I could not find the right size blinds for my window. I found this, and it is great! The quality of the string is cheap, but I was not expecting anything crazy for the price I paid.
