Lights On, Pants Down – A Hilarious Adventure with the Bathroom Pull Cord Ceiling Switch!
Hey, future buyers! So, I stumbled upon this Bathroom Pull Cord Ceiling Switch, and let me tell you, it's not just a switch—it's a life-changing, relationship-altering, and job-losing device. Buckle up, because my journey with this switch has been wilder than a safari in the dating jungle! So, there I was, on a date with a lovely lady. Things were going well, until nature called with the urgency of a fire drill. But fear not, my friends, because this ceiling switch became my wingman. Picture this: romantic mood lighting, the faint hum of Enya playing in the background, and me, attempting the most graceful dismount from the sofa to hit the bathroom. But oh, the cord had other plans! Like Tarzan in a loincloth, I swung across the room, taking out a potted plant and revealing my underpants like a magician's grand finale.Fast forward to meeting the in-laws. Trying to impress, I strategically installed the switch for a dramatic bathroom entrance. Little did I know, my mother-in-law mistook the cord for a modern art installation and started praising my avant-garde taste. Meanwhile, my father-in-law, who clearly never experienced such innovation, was convinced I was summoning spirits. Family dinners were never the same again. Now, the pièce de résistance: the office. I thought the switch could brighten my work life, but little did I know, it had a darker side. In a moment of boredom, I decided to entertain my colleagues with a reenactment of the potted plant incident. Let's just say, HR wasn't impressed, and I found myself outside the office, cord in hand, pondering my life choices. But wait, it's not all chaos and unemployment! This switch has a secret power—the ability to attract attention. I've become a magnet for the opposite sex. Thanks to the allure of a man who can swing from a bathroom cord with grace, I'm now juggling dates with swimsuit models. It's like a bizarre episode of The Bachelor, and I'm the accidental Casanova. Now, let's address the elephant in the room (or the cord in the bathroom): the bad feature. One fateful day, the cord decided to play a prank on me, refusing to let go. I was stuck in a limbo between light and darkness, contemplating my life choices while my date wondered if I'd been abducted by aliens. It turns out, seduction by ceiling switch has its limits. In conclusion, this Bathroom Pull Cord Ceiling Switch is not just a switch; it's a comedy goldmine, a relationship test, and a career hazard. But hey, if you're ready for a rollercoaster ride of embarrassment, attraction, and questionable life choices, this switch is your ticket to a life less ordinary. Lights on, pants down—adventure awaits!

So far so good
Update: It's been 18 months of daily use and still working perfectly.-Bought because our old bathroom ceiling switch of 20+ years didn't want to switch off anymore.Product arrived promptly and was extremely easy to install, and I'm a woman in my 20s who has only re-fitted one wall switch before. It was naturally a tad fiddly since you're up against the ceiling but it was a less-than-5 minute job. (Should note that I only replaced the lower half of the switch onto our existing base, I didn't need to worry about the new base that connects directly onto the ceiling.)The product itself is what you can expect for the money - it's a cheap-feeling standard plastic but when I was inspecting it prior to fitting, I didn't have any worries about the quality and function. I didn't think it was flimsy; it's very similar to our previous one that had worked perfectly since the 90s until now.Our only minor issue at the moment is the string is considerably thinner than our old one and I won't be surprised if it snaps eventually. We did replace the stopper at the end already with our older, heavier brass one but we held off replacing the string itself with a thicker one in fear it may add unnecessary weight to the switch. So, the initial install and setup has been smooth, now it just faces the test of time. Will report back should any problems arrive down the line.

Buy this, rather than the one from Homebase for twice as much!
I bought this as a replacement for my Homebase one, which cost twice as much and failed after a month. Thinking it was just a one-off, I went back to Homebase and purchased second, which also failed after a few months. This one, being half the price of a homebase version, has a better quality "click" when using. I have had this one installed for about 3 months and no issues so far. I believe it will last for years vs the Homebase one which last months and costs twice as much.

Nice action.
These feel like good quality, going by the feel and sounds of the 'click'. I took one apart, and the mechanism looks failsafe, too.

Yes yes yes !! At that price !
Really good quality solid manufacturing. Easy to install. Fits together flawlessly. Works. Firm click on & off.Pull-Cord replaceable if necessary, without dismantling the whole thing. Supplied pull-cord a bit too elastic but is strong enough, (unlike my old one !). All good really ! :-)
