MULTI FIT , Superb idea
After my long serving Gainsborough 10 yrs plus failed I searched google as you do , found a Gainsborough replacement , which didn’t exactly fit as I though it should, but I got there , only to find 8 months down the line the water pressure turn to a dribble , on contacting service department , and explained what I had done to prove my water supple was ok , they said the engine (basically the whole of the shower under the cover) had failed and would send a replacement , after this was fitted it lasted another 13 months and went again , my choice was to order a replacement engine for £80 or a different shower , so I went back to google and YouTube , checking installation positions , knowing my cables and feed pipe were on the right hand side , and the bulk of suppliers are made on the left hand side , then I stumbled on multi fit showers , being a bit worried I carried on reading about them , then found the MIRA version , after studying the layout and knowing the name MIra have , I went for it , I got a reduced price one on amazon which made my choice even better , read a few reviews , which after taking an hour to fit myself , I came to the conclusion some were right , ie has a big foot print , which does seem to cover all holes in the wall no problem , as this was my third unit in the same place ,I had a few holes , which I filled with sealer, and some were just written by idiots , as the name “multi fit” refers to the pipe and cable layout , about 6 or so options for pipe and cable fitment, not to the mounting holes as some think they should of fitted also “these said I reduced my rating on the shower as the screw holes didn’t line up and I had to redrill the holes “ total idiots in my eyes .... after removing the old shower and lined up the pipe work marked the new holes to be drill , changed the red stop end and the black filter over inside , also moved the cable connector over , and connected up , job done ..... less than an hour I was up and running , the only slight issue I have is the same as a few others , the drop rail for the shower head is now to close to the shower and wont come all the way down , as I’m tall I can live with this , wish there were more models to chose from , having said this , the one I have is superb , the sport model ,and was nice to install and cover all the old marks on the wall , with 4 head settings, its the best electric shower I’ve had to date , so I think I made the right choice ... despite the negative reviews , really powerful and a pleasure to use again .

Great quality and hopefully lasts as long as previous Mira Sport
Bought this as our previous Mira Sport stopped working after 15 years, had this one a while now and it showing like it could last just as long as the old one. Button/control layout is similar to the older model, everything just works as it should.

Excellent, relatively easy to install - but the temperature is a bit crazy.
Nightmare. My shower, a ten year old Mira Sport model, stopped working and I was advised by a plumber friend to get a new one. And so, looking for one that is supposed to fit very easily over old models, I bought the latest Mira and I am mostly impressed. The pipes and feeds are in exactly the same place as the last one so fitting it was easy for my plumber - it was simple unclip, unscrew, unwire, job to take it down and the reverse to install it. The instructions are detailed though, of course, it's always best to get a professional to do it. I was pleasantly surprised that it came with a four setting power shower head, significantly better than the old one had. This, in itself, is probably worth twenty pounds. It's a stylish, minimalist looking unit that looks neat on the wall and, after a bit of silicon around the edge, it was ready to go. This is where it loses a star. The old model would need to be on 'High' and near full power to please hot shower user Mrs Pugh - if she tried the same on this, she'd have second degree burns. The settings are strange and take some getting used to - the low setting is adequate though not especially forceful, the Eco requires you to go to full 'red' on the dial to get proper hot water. But for power and heat, the 'High' mode is the other extreme and I would advise some kind using some kind of fire suit while testing it - my plumber scalded his feet as it came on as if this was some kind of 'Final Destination'-style judgement against him. On the whole though, once the temperature control is achieved (half way on the dial, High mode is sufficient unless you want to try and poach a lobster) it's a good unit. Definitely excellent value for the under £200 I paid for it.

feels good quality
Looks good and feels good only time will tell if it's as good as the previous shower from Gainsborough fitted nearly 20 years ago, has just stopped working right

Great replacement shower
Bought to replace an Aqualisa which died after 3.5 years. This model was recommended by a plumber. Easy to install and looks smart too. Very happy

Does exactly what it says it does
Bought this to replace an old Grohe Tempest 100 shower, did the installation myself in under an hour, the instructions are really detailed and after change the water and electrical connections from left to right, fitted like a dream, fixing holes were different but that was to be expected, but new unit being slightly larger covered all of the previous holes, so looks great and works really well. Did not give five stars because after only a month the shower head cradle started slipping down, but simply tightening the screw resolved this issue

Excellent value for money product.
Bought this to replace my mobilityplus + shower unit that had stopped working after seven years. It’s footprint is slightly larger than the original unit which meant I didn’t have to worry about it being the right size.Had it professionally installed and was told that it is a very good model to have. Took him just over an hour to do the job and that included two phone calls, so very impressed.Have set the water pressure on econ and adjusted the temperature to one that suits me, which was easier than on the original unit.Overall I am more than happy with my purchase and would definitely recommend.Don’t forget to activate the guarantee.
