This screen package addresses what I always thought was a much needed feature in the Model 3/Y - the need for back seat controls for vents and seat heat. The screen arrives in a well-cushioned box with a seal on it that says "Do not accept if seal is broken," and , of course, the box arrived with the seal broken. I asked about this but no response from the company...my guess is that the boxes may be opened when they go through customs.There are several videos on YouTube showing how to install this and, while is is easy enough for anyone to do, there are a few issues that can cause problems: how to press some of the tabs is unclear/takes work to figure out, the gold clips have metal teeth that can easily break if you don't pull them off the right way, and it's easy to scratch the plastic on the trim pieces you are removing if you use anything metal to try to pry them loose. Other than that the screen works as advertised and looks pretty OEM. I left off the cable to control the front seat as I don't think that's as much of an issue in the Model Y as it is in the Model 3.

I gave this product a chance even with the not-so-great reviews. Ultimately, it was a good deal for what you get. You get added functionality, improved aesthetics, and added cool factor for your ride. No, it doesn't come with everything it needs out the box because you will need to transfer just about everything from the OEM vent housing to this new one. The install is easy and straight forward. Instructions aren't the best but it's easy to figure out. All I can say is take your time while transferring the pieces and routing any cables so you don't break anything. The UI is a little wonky in the settings department where you have to hold the "rear" button on the screen to go to the very limited settings. Also, my unit won't give me an option to change from 24hr to 12hr on the clock and it gets the time backwards where 10am will show as 2200. I just chose to show the analog clock instead and problem solved. I reached out to the seller for this but never heard back. With this product you pretty much are getting what you pay for except for any customer support. I had one of those super fancy big screen gadgets in the rear but it just wasn't worth the difference in money between this and that especially when no one is really going to be watching something in that screen on the back and people have phones and kids have tablets. Lastly, the complaints in the reviews about the box arriving looking as though it is used are valid. Mine arrived looking the same but I buy used stuff on Amazon all the time and for the price compared to all the other options I didn't care if it was used as long as it wasn't damaged and worked.

Review 12/10/2023 I have a brand new Tesla M3 Purchased 12/8/2023 I bought this screen for so passengers could control the climate and heated seats. They are able to control the heated seats, Passenger seat, and fan but NOT able to control temp or anything else. Does not seem to communicate fully with the front screen. Also, the temperature units for Fahrenheit are not correct and in .5 or .4 degrees. I feel a firmware update should resolve this issue. Contacted seller and will update if or if not a resolution is come to.
