Takes a prominent spot in our Resistance base.
We are really pleased with this Y-wing fighter. Not only is it good for display given the interesting and movie-accurate colour scheme. It is even better for play, as the completed model is sturdy but also due to several features of the fighter itself AND the strong selection of mini-figures included. Of course there is an opening cockpit, foldable landing gear and the obligatory spring-loaded shooters. More interesting are the 3 bombs that can be dropped by twisting a wheel on the back of the fighter. But there is also a the hatch in the back where the Astromech droid fits in.The built of this 578 piece-set was not much of a challenge for our 6-year old brick expert and it took him about 2 hours. Little interference from my side was required. However I assisted him with the fair amount of stickering, given that most are quite distinctive and visible on the outside, so this required some more steady hands. Also the 8 struts that need to assembled at the end are a little tedious.Note that the Amazon product listing page says that the sets included 6 mini figures, - this is incorrect!; there is only one First Order Stormtrooper included rather than two as suggested. Hence the total of figures included is 5. Yet the selection of figures is excellent. Poe Dameron, Zorii Bliss and a First Order Stormtrooper, plus D-O and an Astromech droid. So this is one of the two sets that will give you the Zorri Bliss figure (the other one being the small 75263 micro fighter version of this set). The caped First Order stormtrooper figure is a welcome addition as our children never have enough of stormtroopers and we didn’t have this variant yet. Poe is perhaps least interesting but we didn’t have a Poe and this Rise of Skywalker version is pretty causal and cool, it fits well in our Pasaana Speeder Chase set where we have joined him with Rey and Chewie. The turquoise-coloured Astromech droid is curious and very interesting because of its appearance, though I haven’t figured out its name/code. But most importantly, our children’s favourite, D-O droid is included - he has been past of many exciting adventures yet.Even though tis is a slightly smaller scale than most Lego Star Wars fighters, this Y-wing looks great in our growing collection of Lego Star Wars vehicles. We didn’t have a Y-wing yet. And this fighter, once completed looks really nice with its red colouring and small part details. And like so many more recent Lego Star Wars models, there are not too many studs visible on the exterior. So it makes a great model and toy.All in all, a set that s very rich in interesting figures, that displays well and offers good play value.

Nice looking and affordable Lego Y Wing
I've been keen on adding a Y Wing to my Star Was Lego collection for some time but couldn't really justify the brilliant collectors set version. When this came up, an affordable but still good looking version, based on the new Y Wing for the Rise of Skywalker, I was really happy to get hold of it.It's not a huge set but is pretty decent value for the price, nearly 600 pieces and 4 mini figures (including a brand new character called Zorii Bliss). The build was good fun and a relaxing way to spend a few hours whilst pottering. The finished set looks great and adds nicely to the collection.

Detailed Ep. IX Y-Wing
This is a great model. For those who don’t mind getting a Y-Wing from the latest trilogy instead of the nostalgic classic yellow, this is a great set. The construction is solid, and follows the trends of the last few years of Lego models—lots of smaller pieces to create outstanding detail. I am continually impressed. My only complaint is that the pilot has a generic black head instead of a character face underneath the helmet. We all know what Kerri Russell looks like. Wouldn’t have been that hard, in my opinion.

Entertaining
It's fun to build and looks good. However, the price is quite high. Also, I have had some pieces missing from the set which has made it so I can't finish the structure properly..

Good set
I have a happy son. He loves lego and wasnt disappointed by this set. A good amount of pieces and a good sturdy make as usual for lego. Only downside is the price of lego it's expensive for what it is.
