Santo RemedioPiel Eterna, ZELMA Brightening Serum, Brightens and Improves Skin Tone, Contains Mineral Rescue Complex (Zinc, Selenium, Magnesium), For All Skin Types, 1 Fl. Oz.

My 70 + year old mother has been using this at night, along with a night cream and felt that it did a good job fading some of her dark spots and improving her texture. She layered her night cream on top of this serum, as she said she needed additional moisture.She said she would probably pay $30 for a bottle of this serum, so she will not be re-ordering (as this bottle runs at about $50).

I received 1 oz. of product in a plastic bottle with a pump dispenser. It came with a safety plastic seal around the bottle - there was no box. The serum is like a watery lotion. It has a faint scent that does not linger. It did not bother my sensitive skin. One pump was sufficient for my face. After applying it, my skin felt instantly hydrated however it quickly absorbed into my skin - my skin felt soft but not hydrated or moisturized. I haven't used it long enough to see if its claims of evening out skin tone however there was a luminosity to my skin after use. I have several age spots on my face and I've yet to find any product that lightens/brightens these areas. I'm hoping with more use of this, it will help. The price point is a bit high at $49 - I'd expect better components for $49 as the current packaging appears cheap. Because of the price, I can't see that I would be purchasing this in the future unless I see a remarkable difference in the brightness of my face.

I was hoping for a lot with this serum, but unfortunately my experience has been somewhat disappointing. I will say that on the positive side, it saturates very nicely into the skin, and doesn't leave a greasy feeling. It also plays well with my moisturizer that I place over top. As far as the actual serum itself, it is quite nice. As a brightening serum, I have applied it over certain age spots, as well as discolored areas from sun exposure, and to be quite honest, I haven't noticed much of a difference thus far. I should qualify that by saying, I have only been using it for about a week, so any sort of monumental expectations of changes, should be tempered. Perhaps, with prolonged use, there may be more visible signs of lightening. My displeasure comes with the fact that, the product arrived half empty, with serum strewn all over the inside of the package. It was shipped in a bubble mailer, with no protection. Obviously, it was damaged in transport, and that was very unfortunate. For such an expensive serum, to receive so little in the actual bottle, is disappointing to be sure. There is a inherent flaw in the pump, as it tends to leak, and not be very good at distributing the serum. You can see by my pictures, what state I more or less received it in, and I will say that, the pictures are after I cleaned it up a little. All in all, in honesty it's hard to judge, as well as look past the defective pump delivery method. If it were a pristine example, I might be more inclined to have a favorable view, but it arriving so banged up, it's pretty unacceptable, in my opinion. The serum itself is nice, but like I mentioned, I haven't noticed much brightening effects, and losing half of it in transport is very disappointing.

The serum comes out of the pump as a thin lotion. It spreads easily and absorbs into the skin without any stickiness. My skin did feel smoother after application. It did not irritate my skin and layers nicely with the other products in my routine. There hasn't been enough time to see of it will brighten/correct uneven skin tone but I will keep using it. It is pricey for the amount of product even if a little goes a long way.

I use this serum as a part of my daily skincare routine, applied in between toner and moisturizer. It has a pleasant citrus scent and absorbs easily into my skin. I don't need to use very much, and it provides a good base for the rest of my skincare routine. I feel like it has helped with redness and evening out fine lines. I have very sensitive skin, but this hasn't upset my skin at all, so it's safe to say it's good for dry or sensitive skin. My only complaint about this is that the container was slightly open and some of the product spilled during shipping.

I liked this brightening serum because it comes in a factory sealed bottle, it has a light citrus scent that I found to be very pleasant and not overpowering, and it definitely moisturized my skin. It didn't leave any kind of residue after it quickly absorbed and it wasn't greasy/oily at all.I didn't like that the consistency was very thin and kind of watery (see photo) and not as thick as I thought it would be. It is a very high price point for such a small bottle (only one ounce). I've also attached a photo of the ingredient list - this product contains phenoxyethanol which I try to avoid.

I am reviewing based on 1 week usage only- so will follow up with the effectiveness with evening out skin tone.This serum is basically absent of fragrance- I can only detect a very slight pleasant aroma. One full pump is all it takes to cover my face completely- so this should last a while. It is medium textured- not too watery- but more fluid than a cream.My skin does feel softer and more hydrated with use of this serum. Too early in the regimen to know if skin tone will level out or not with use of this product. I have 2 areas in particular I am focusing on- from sun exposure. I’ll follow up with results on these areas.

This is a light weight lotion with a barely there citrus scent. It is easy to apply and absorbs well leaving my skin smooth and hydrated. Nice !Thanks for reading this review. Have a lovely day 🌹
