Take your time building it.
This is a wonderful kit. The car took me about a total of two weeks to build. This is meant for an advanced builder, all parts must be sanded and waxed. Especially the motor and drivetrain. The engine is powered by large twists of rubber bands which are wound up by a crank in the front. Ingenious design and elegant are words I would use for this kit.

These models are fun to put together. They can be a challenge follow the instructions. Tools needed razer knive,needle nose pliers & some quick drying wood glue just in the case you break a part. They do include some spare parts. I've built.

A working model without glueing
This was a present to someone who has everything and enjoys a challenge. He tells me that it was really difficult but worth all the effort to meet that challenge..This was not the first model of this type he has made but by far the most difficult and it will take pride of place on his office shelf.

Problems identified and solutions offered
This was well thought out and an impressive build. I built two of these to try and address the problems of the first. The engine construction is quite fiddly and requires great patience. It's the toughest part. Rubber bands - some people are having problems getting four bands in the little slots and the instructional drawing isn't clear. In order to get the band into the slot you have to stretch the band so it's narrower and thinner. They slip in easily then. The big problem with the first build is things wouldn't turn easily and gears against a piece of wood had a lot of friction. The instructions show to use wax. On the first kit, I used a wax votive candle. But the wax was too hard and never got to the bottom of the teeth. Second build I used Q-tips and car wax. Furniture or boot wax would work as well. Get everything extremely well lubed before assembly. Some of the mortise and tenon fits were difficult. I used a combination of emery boards cut in half lengthwise and also jewelers files. The toughest part of that is mounting the two sides to the chassis. 14 tenons. Hobby bar clamps were a great help in pressing the pieces together.Hope these tips help you get a better finished project. My second build works great and drives through dirt and gravel on it's own.

It is not your father’s model plastic airplane kit.

Great product but huge problem.
I built a treasure chest from UGEARS and thought it was a real challenge which I really enjoyed. I loved building it with my dad!!Now I'm building a car and one of the longer pieces snapped in half. Will the company provide a new piece??

Overall Very Good
Some difficulties with the rubber band motors on these uGear models but fun to put together. UGears tries to push too many gears with too many gears with too many gears, etc. Could also use a better piece of wax - crumbled and had to finish with leftover piece from a competitor's laser cut wood model. Poor place to save a penny.

Robotimeの物は(れっしゃ)・(トラクター)を2台試みた後、Ugears の物は3台目なります。1台目のV-Express Steam Train with Tender V-Express蒸気機関車 70058はパーツも多く完成した時は達成感がありました。2台目はRoadster VM-01 ロードスターVM-01 で木製模型は3台目なので過去の2台の時の失敗・ミスを考えながら進め、完成時には無事にゴム動力で動かすことができました。Ugears の3台目も大変よくできました。次が欲しくなりましたが資金が足りません!

車体前部に動力源を載せた、16バルブのV8エンジンが、遂に登場した! 組立て後も大満足!
① ストックの中から、動力源が前にあり、吸排気弁が16個付いた自動車を見つけた。初体験だ。② 車は数台経験しているので、組立は順調だったが、変換にギアが固定されていないのに気付いた時、唖然と した。「上手く、動くか」?③ 進めていくと、歯車を安定させるカバーが付けられ、変換用のレバーは段階的に半固定出来る様になっていて 対策されているのを感じた。④ 試運転の前に、手動で作動状態をチェック、問題なし。 ・ ハンドルを廻すと、歯車で伝道され前輪が左右に動く。簡易な方法でなく、なかなか本格的だ。 ・ 前部サスペンションはゴム製ながら作動するが、後部では省略されている。 ・ タイヤはゴムで蔽われ、スリップを防止している。この車にスペアタイヤは不要だが、重量バランスと デザイン性だと思う。 ・ 後部左側にあるベルト付き歯車は、後輪回転の補助的な物で、車体の左右でデザインに変化を付けたかった のだと思う。⑤ LC OFFボタンを押し込み、レバーで前進にセットし、LC ONを押すと、スムーズに発信。 前進レバーは始めは普通に動かし、更に強く、もう一度押す。そうしないとキッチリ固定されない仕組みだ。⑥ 後進は、手持ちで作動確認する時は、問題無いが、走行させるとムラが出る。やはり、課題が残っている? しかし、レーシングカーには、バックギアは無い筈なので、我慢しよう。⑦ ボンネットを閉じた状態で、8個のピストンと16個の弁の動きが見えるので、大満足だ。 今後、歯車固定の4輪駆動車や、動く生き物を眺めつつ、ウヰスキーを飲むのが、更なる私の夢だ。

とてもカッコいいクラシックモデル!
8気筒16バルブエンジンが再現されていて、なんと!!前側にクランクをさして回してゴムを巻き動力にするのですが、昔のクラシックカーみたく再現されていて凝ったデザインのモデルですね!作ってて楽しかったです!
