Gamer [DVD]

If you like over the top, explosive action with quirky story lines and characters then this is an absolute classic that you have to watch. If you are after more sophisticated, downtown abby kindbof vibes then I'm not sure what brought you to this, maybe boredom with that series, in which case this shall keep you entertained throughout and then afterwards you can take a step down the rabbit hole of extremely violent, quirky movies and follow up with Shoot 'em up! 😂So if you are in the mood for some crazy, fast paced violent movies with your main man Gerard Butler then this is the movie for you!

I really enjoyed this film!! Great effects and hanging on the edge of my seat throughout! Lovely to see some thing a bit out of the norm. Gritty & intense. If your a gamer, you will probably feel a bit offended - hence the bad reviews on RT I'm guessing?

A good watch

This film had lots of promise and took its queues and paid homage to many greats that have come before.Sadly it was plagued with poor directing choices during the gaming segments that seemed to forget that this was being played out in real life. Excess judder in camera movement while running, and stupid analogue signal disruption effects were a joke and made the scenes less engaging to watch.Poor ending, you felt nothing for the characters. It was strange.

Gamer is just big dumb fun. I love video games and I found the satirical depictions of popular shooter call of duty and sim games such as the sims and second life, hilarious. There is no realism here, it's just a lot of crazy action, bright colours and wisecracks.The effects are decent, the acting is pretty cheesy and the story is utterly implausible. And I don't care, because this film is great fun. It's mindless entertainment, and sometimes that's what I'm in the mood for, which is why I gave it five stars.

This film is one of the kind people may love or loath completely, depending on which side they're on. IMO I find it a little distopic Sci-Fi gem, being all based on the freaky question: What if virtual reality could substitute the actual one we live in or,even worse, was manipulated by a mean yet powerful despot-like bloke?As for the item itself,I can say this dvd is brilliant, featuring a very good picture and sound quality as well as very accomplished performances by the cast. One of Gerard Butler's best efforts and a film I recommend to you.

arrived in prompt anticipated time. seen before on dvd and desired to rewatch on blu ray. very violent eccentric type of film, mindless,but captures the interest, a avatar of human being,gerard butler must who cheat death,must survive find his freedom in deadliest battles created by game expert kable, make reflect upon what could occcur in society and be invented, acting is downright up to par, story is implausible, craztly fast paced video game explosive action, sound quality all right, talenred,adept performances by cast. maybe too unpleasant,emotional. worth a watch pass time on. either take a shine to it or dislike.

Mark Neveldine e Brian Taylor hanno creato un capolavoro con “Gamer”. Questo film è un’esplosione di azione e adrenalina, con una trama avvincente e un ritmo frenetico che tiene incollati allo schermo. Le performance di Gerard Butler e Michael C. Hall sono eccezionali. Un must per gli amanti dei film d’azione e dei videogiochi!

近所のレンタル屋さんに置いてなくて、作品の評価は低いけど気になり…中古購入。問題なく視聴できました。役者が違えば60点くらいの作品かもですが、ジェラルド・バトラー好きの補正がかかって85点。特典映像での監督たちの細かい解説が意外と面白かったので90点？いやいや、まさかのジェリー尻丸出しでさらに加点！200点です(笑)過去作品で何度も拝んでますが、まさかこんなパターンでの披露があるとは…さすがジェリー！洋画アクション好きならまあまあ楽しめると思います。ジェリー好きなら超楽しめるかと(^^)

!Persönliche Meinung!Ich glaube ich habe diesen Film jetzt mittlerweile schon 10x gesehen. Ich liebe diesen Film einfach. Die Hauptdarsteller spielen ihre Rollen sehr, sehr gut. Vorallem Gerard Butler macht eine wirklich gute Figur. Die Story ist für manche vielleicht zu einfach gestrickt oder teilweise auch zu absurd. Ich finde sie von daher gut, da ich der Meinung bin, es könnte in der Zukunft wirklich mal soweit kommen... . Die Aktion kommt bei Gamer jedenfalls absolut nicht zu kurz. Wer selbst gerne zockt und Action-Filme wie Crank mag wird diesen Film mit Sicherheit auch lieben :-).Aber was ich absolut nicht nachvollziehen kann ist Folgendes:Wieso ist ein Film FSK 18 geschnitten? Bin ich mit 18+ nicht in der Lage mir selbst auszusuchen was ich mir gebe und was nicht?! Hätte man da nicht einmal eine FSK 16 und eine FSK 18 Fassung produzieren können? Einfach unbegreiflich, aber leider die Realität!Vorallem der Schnitt an sich ist mir ein Rätsel. Die Logik hinter den entfernten Szenen entzieht sich meinem Verständnis. Auf der einen Seite sieht man explodierende, herumfliegende Körperteile und weggeschossene Köpfe...und dann wird weggeschnitten wie der Held einem Bösewicht das Genick bricht?! Wo ist die Logik? Da hätte man die Kastration auch ganz lassen können. Meine Meinung...Pro:+ Viel, viel, viel Aktion+ Eine nachvollziehbare Story+ Viele Extras auf der DVD+ Blu-Ray Qualität ist top!Con:- Total blöder Schnitt
