Frying with cast iron was great but Way to heavy and I didn't know how to keep them clean so I tossed them out. thanks to you tube I learned about a steel pan that had the even heating of cast iron but much lighter and with a handle that stays cool . o yea! I learned how to keep the pans clean and seasoned !!!!I used to replace Teflon pans because the oil would get burned in and you can scrub them clean. Now I just use Teflon for tomato Sause The AUS-ION Skillet heats evenly and gives you the right high temperature surface to fry at. It is easer to clean than Teflon pan once you learn how. Handle is long but by design you don't need a pot holder to pick it up. Steels the deal !

I ordered the small, the high wall, and the medium. Did not get the large. The small seemed very small when I got it. I wasn't sure if I would keep it. But absolutely love the tiny size. So easy to work with and use. Still learning how to season these pans properly. Love the design of them. I'm willing to pay extra for a design that looks good and is functional. I paid 63$us. Although it seems like alot compared to what your money can buy. It's a one time purchase that will be spread out over time and last the rest of my life. --- I've used the high wall and like that as well. I bought two of those. I have not used the larger one as of yet. Still using my older lodge for the moment until I work out the seasoning. But overall happy with the pans that cost less than 100 each. They work nearly the same as any other. But worth the extra for something that looks good, is a joy to see and use.

I recently purchased this and two smaller AUS-ION skillets to replace our aging T-fal nonstick set. I wanted to move away from chemically nonstick-coated pans. My primary reason for buying these particular pans is that they are made from one piece of 3mm sheet iron, with no rivets or welds. They are absolutely smooth with no hard-to-clean joints that accumulate crud. I seasoned al three pans using the included directions (though I used flaxseed oil). They came out uniformly dark, great looking, and quite nonstick. No need to use "nonstick" coated pans any more. You can get these quite smoking hot without worrying about creating toxic byproducts in your cooking. It's surprising how cool the handle stays even when the pan is smoking hot - you'd only need to use a potholder if you had them in the oven to finish your dish.

Pan arrived, and I seasoned it 2 times times in oven and once on the stove top,with very light oil. Scrambled eggs and they simply slid right out.Pan works perfectly! High quality, good performance. In the photo is a 7 inch Aus ion pan I have had for a year, on the right is the new 9 inch with only 3 seasonings on it. Color change over time, these pans only get better with use. I use on a gas range, believe you must be aware of pre heat and temperature control.

Amazing in every way. its a small pan but works well for 2 eggs. I often use it for cooking sausages or onions and mushrooms. Its not cheep but ill have it the rest of my life so i think its worth it.

These pans smell like metal, because your not washing them properly to protect the seasoning. and sometimes, the eggs show black stuf on them. I rather use X-trema ceramic. They cost a little more but well worth it.amazon has a good returnpolicy this is going back. The family doesnt feel comfortable with a wiped unwashed pan.

Horrible

I was looking for primarily an egg pan to replace my teflon. This pan is a nice size for one or two eggs and the height and radius of the edge is perfect for pan flipping the eggs. I have stove top seasoned the pan about a dozen times and it is almost anti-stick. So be patient when seasoning pan because the end result will be well worth the effort.

I like that the handles are extra long and doesn’t get hot. Once it’s well seasoned it’s non stick. I’m happy that it’s non toxic. I also like that it’s well made and in Australia. It was on sale which was a bonus.
