What I’ve been looking for
What a neat product. I love the look of oil lamps, but don’t feel safe keeping them burning for long periods of time. This product will turn them into electric oil lamps. I pair them with a nightlight bulb, which completes the look perfectly. So happy with this product and will be back for another set soon!

Thread difference
The finish of this converter is so nice! That is why I was so disappointed when the threads weren’t thin/narrow enough to fit both lamps I had.

Easy to assemble to turn my old oil lamp to electric. Would recommend.

Finally
I had been looking for months for a replacement electric converter for an antique oil lamp I inherted. The switch was bad, so it was unusable. When the lamps were originally converted (this one and two others), they used an unusually small screw type converter to screw into the neck of the lamp, which I had a heck of a time finding, until trying this. Success! I am finally able to use the lamp after 31 years. Thank you!

Thread different gauge.
Thread was a coarser gauge than my older vintage lamp, Hole diameter appeared correct. I couldn't make it work.

Faulty Wiring
I LOVE the way these look. I was so excited to convert my oil lamps to actual lamps with bulbs so I could use them often. HOWEVER, sparks literally flew as I tried to plug these in. Some even hit my face. My husband was luckily around and saw what happened. He took them apart and they were not put together properly. They were put together so wrong that they are an EXTREME HAZARD. DO NOT BUY THEM.

SO STINKIN' COOL! Old Lamps Made New (And Usable!)
I must admit - I'm a little obsessed with these. I have antique, vintage oil lamps spread all over my house and I found myself rarely using them because they can be a pain to light (I know, I know we're spoiled with electricity these days!). These have allowed me to use my oil lamps daily and they look great at night to provide a bit of warmth rather than using the big overhead lights.While not the products fault, you do have to be mindful of what kind of old oil lamp you have and get the correct converter! This one converts an internal screw rather than an outer screw (check the picture for more details!). If your oil lamp has ridges on the outside, this converter might not work for you.I love the faux finish/polish that already provides an antique look to match the old vintage oil lamps. I have found that the new finish matches all of my old finishes so well. The cord also comes with a bit of an antique-look to it which I love! It's not bright and gaudy gold, but a more muted, antique gold. While I have these connected to my Alexa device to turn on using a smart plug, I also love that it comes with a switch on the cord, so I'm not having to bend over to plug and un-plug it all the time.
