Effective and great natural alternative to retinol
I really like this good-quality and effective Night Serum by Olivanna. I have quite a sensitive skin but this seems to suit me very much as I have had no adverse reactions to it, which is fantastic. This serum contains bakuchiol which is a natural alternative to retinol and works just the same.Using this every night for the past two weeks, I have noticed improvements on my skin texture in that it is noticeably brighter, smoother, firmer, well-hydrated with reduced fine lines, which is great. The serum is very light in consistency and not greasy at all. You only need a small amount which does go a long way and it absorbs into the skin quite quickly. The pipette applicator makes it very convenient and easy to apply the serum.I appreciate the fact that this is all natural, vegan-friendly and UK-made.Overall, a good-quality product that I am pleased with which I will continue on using. Some people may find the price a little too expensive at £84 but it is the quality you are paying for.

retinol alternative
The media could not be loaded. In consistency and appearance this is a slightly thicker serum than most, but it spreads across the skin very easily and feels lightweight and hydrating. It has a light, natural skincare type of scent (does have added fragrance) but not very strong and it does not linger once absorbed.Bakuchiol oil can be used as a natural retinol alternative without having irritations that retinol can often cause so you get the anti-aging properties without bad effects and you can also use it more frequently than retinol creams/serums.I like that this is a non-greasy form of Bakuchiol since usually they come in oil forms so it hydrates the skin without leaving a gross and oily feeling, this serum only leaves a beautiful, healthy glow.

Not sure if it works
My wife has been trying this. There is a very mild lemon/lavendar scentThe serum is dispensed with a little glass dropper, which works fine.My wife has applied this strategically over a little time and so far no noticeable change, we were not expecting a huge change and I guess she would like even a mild improvement. She may be doing something wrong or perhaps she needs to do it for longer. If it is a time thing, I will update

Excellent moisturiser tho only been using for a few days ...
Comes in a smart looking jar, suggesting this is a premium product to match it's premium price! My wife has been using the same suppliers night cream for a few days (reviewed on Amazon) and I've been using this one.I see some people are using both at the same time. To me both products do similar things but I'm no expect!Anyway, I find a little goes a long way and the supplied dropper helps ensure you only take a little from the bottle.Like the night cream, this creamy coloured substance is quickly absorbed and leaves my skin feel very refreshed.I do have slightly sensitive skin but it hasn't reacted to the cream at all.Too early to see any improvements to my facial lines but I will continue to use this until the bottle is empty. One thing I must comment on is the cream's scent - rather odd and not to my liking at all! Happily it doesn't last long!I will review again in a couple of weeks.

Lovely Serum & A Little Goes A Long Way But It's A Bit Too Pricey
This is a bakuchiol night serum by Olivanna, a brand I’ve only recently tried and really like. It comes boxed, with the serum itself in an understated purple glass bottle with dropper, giving it a professional edge. It feels a little bit more special than the highstreet brands I’d usually use, which you’d hope for given the price even though it’s quite a small bottle at 30ml.I’d never used bakuchiol before and knew very little about it until trying this serum. It comes from leaves of the Psoralea Corylifolia plant so it’s vegan and it has anti-inflammatory properties. Bakuchiol is quite highly regarded because of benefits with acne relief, reducing redness and minimising acne scarring. It’s also thought helpful for reducing fine lines, protecting the skin from pollution, and restoring firmness.I like that this is cruelty-free, which is important to me, as well as being clinically tested. It’s also vegan and produced in Britain, so it’s nice to support a smaller UK business.I’ve been using this after cleansing and before moisturiser. I wasn’t sure what to expect but I guess I thought something clear. This actually comes out as a milky off-white colour and a consistency that’s more watery than thick. The scent is one I can’t quite put my finger on but I’d say it’s quite natural, so it’s not lovely or luxurious but it’s fine, doesn’t put me off using it. You’d perhaps expect a more earth-based smell given bakuchiol comes from plant leaves.Given the thinner consistency, I’ve found a little goes a long way and I’m pleased with that because I’d want to stretch the product out given the price. It’s only 30ml but I think it’ll last fairly well if just using one to three drops once a day.It absorbs quite well and doesn’t leave my skin looking shiny, just a tiny bit tacky. Nothing major, nothing off-putting, but a tad tacky when I’ve checked an hour later. It’s fine underneath moisturiser but I’ve found this is okay without moisturiser too as it’s quite nourishing on its own. It does seem to make my skin look a bit healthier, maybe from evening out the top layer so it’s a little more glow-y with no dryness or oiliness. Skin also feels very soft and smooth afterwards, which is great. It’s early days to say whether it’ll help with “anti-ageing” benefits but I’m hoping it’ll keep fighting inflammation and redness at least. I’d be happy with just that and if it reducing some old scarring and reducing fine lines, that’d be a bonus. This is £84 at the time of writing, which to me seems very expensive. I don’t think I could justify the price myself but if money’s no option, it’s a lovely serum.

Nice but too expensive
Feels nice after application but was definitely not fond of the smell. Skin was hydrated the day after and is a nice treat.

It’s good but not big fan of the smell
The serum has a good consistency. It is quite thick so it spreads well on the face. You can make it in time and it won't flow down. Like the whole series, it has a specific scent that I don't like, although my husband likes it. I don't know how it will be after a long time of using it but in the morning the face looks nice and nothing is missing. It should be noted that I always use it in conjunction with the cream of the same series.
