Very good resin
I bought this about 2 months ago and I still have a lot left, my pack didn’t come with instructions which I did need at first as I hadn’t used this make before. The curing agent is yellow and the part a is a purple colour but don’t let that put you off as once mixed and poured it’s clear and cures clear. I’m very happy with my purchase and will definitely buy this again when I run out.

MIX PROPERLY AND YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED - ***PLEASE READ!***
So many negative comments - but not just this resin - the same negative comments across all epoxy resins. Don't read the negative comments - here's the solution...1. Make sure your measures (A to B) are correct. READ THE LABEL TO ASCERTAIN THE RATIO OF RESIN TO HARDENER. If you have a 2:1 mix, then it's probably the case that weight is the key measurement, but volume cannot be precluded. Make sure your measurements are exact in any case. This is the primary reason resin takes an age to cure. Adding a little more hardener (B) will not have the desired effect of hardening quicker. Keep to the correct quantities!2. Many people complain the Part A is cloudy and/or thick (or even lumpy) in viscosity. This is due to the Part A being too cold. You can WARM it up by placing the bottle in hand-hot water. DO NOT USE BOILING WATER to warm up the Part A. It will be ready to use when the viscosity is somewhere between syrup and water.3. Mix the two parts together for longer than the stated time/longer than you think - then pour it into another mixing container and stir for another couple of minutes. Not mixing the parts together properly result in the resin never curing. Think of mixing syrup with treacle (it takes far longer than you think!). If you see weird 'stringy' bit or 'waves' in the mixture, then you need to need to stir more.4. Stirring faster will NOT mix the two parts quicker - it will only introduce more air. Stir the mixture deliberately, making sure you scrape the side and bottom with your mixing stick/tool. Consider stirring vertically, too, moving the resin from bottom to top of the mix.5. To burst bubble that have risen to the surface, apply heat. I would seriously avoid using a naked flame; you've all seen the videos where craft-y Youtubers use a kitchen crème brûlée flame torch to burst the bubbles, but this is something I would dissuade. You may heat the surface of the resin too much, too quickly, causing a 'skin', but more likely, you may find that when you come to de-mould your casting that the mould edge sticks to the lip of the resin; 'flaming' your casting caused this. Instead, use a hair dryer or heat gun - just be careful of the effect of the speed of the air on your casting.6. Air temperature when curing. If you know your ratios are correct and you have mixed them well, but the casting is taking ages to cure, then the casting is at the incorrect temperature. A minimum of 20 degrees C is required, but not more than 25.I have been using epoxy resin for years now, with many different brands, and I can state that this Vista Cascade product is a good product indeed.

Have used resin for years this is up there with the worst
I use resin in my job and bought this as a cheaper alternative to the one I usually buy to coat my dining table. Big mistake. I know how to use this and mix properly yet there were sticky patches on curing not due to anything other than the product. I understand other people’s experiences may not be the same but this batch must have been off, I’m not a beginner & did not use any pigment as this was only supposed to be a protective coat, I’ve now spent the best part of my day scraping the majority off to begin sanding completely. Have ordered the better quality one because it really doesn’t cause issues like this.

poor quality batch
this was my 2nd time of purchasing this resin and i dont know if i just have a bad batch but despite mixing as per instruction in clean plastic cups there are endless lumps appearing in this batch and i dont know why as i have measured and mixed in the exact same way as the first lot. i have wasted a lot of this resin thinking the small lumps (they are not air bubbles as i torched my coasters regularly for the 1st 30 - 45 minutes) would somehow dissolve away, this hasnt happened and i am having to rub down and purchase an alternative batch of resin for coating my coasters. it still works fine for moulding work.

LOVE this resin!
Again, really surprised to see negative reviews! This resin has an amazing finish - I’ve used many types and this, for me, is the winner! I make mostly coasters and clock faces and it degassed so well. I give the surface a spritz of alcohol and that’s it! I tend to buy the 7.5kg because it economically makes sense. I really would recommend it.

Recommend 100%
I purchased this resin to create keyrings, book marks and coasters. Easy to use, mixes well and great finish. Would recommend and will be re-ordering the larger bottles next time

Bubbles, contradiction, bubbles ... oh, and bubbles.
No instructions, so I went to the website. Mix until streaking disappears? I didn't see any streaking in this CLEAR resin. Any more instructions on the website? Not really, that's about it. What's the mix ratio? The bottle says 100:50 by weight. The website said 100:45. So, what IS the mix ratio, really?Anyway, bubbles. Yes. Nice picture above to show their's, as compared to competitors that they claim has all the bubbles. Um, I think they got the vials the wrong way around because the one you see with a tonne of bubbles is what you'll get. Bubbles galore. Just hundreds of them. What of the casts, then? Heat resistant to 90‘C is the claim, and the reason I bought this. Take a cast piece, pop it in some hot water for a minute or so, and hey presto! You have a rubbery, soft, pliable piece of "crystal" resin. Not so heat resistant, then. Oh, by the way, the water I put it in was 70‘CIn the little use I've had of this resin, in terms of heat resistance (or lack, thereof) and pliability, I find it no better than mixing up some powdered acrylic/acetone such as one may do with false nails - except that at least with sculpting false nails/filling in etc. you don't get bubbles.
