Zmodo 1080p HD SPOE Camera ZP-IBH23-S

I have been using Zmodo and SHO cameras for several years from their first to third generation. Their Camera are in general good quality .However, Zmodo stopped selling Cameras SPOE directly and started having third parties such as Amazon and Ebay to sell for them. Now, they don't even have hard wired cameras, only wireless and 1080P version. Problem is the wireless cameras need power source and if you are using the camera outside, you don't have enough power outlets outside of the house and even if you did, it would be an ugly sight seeing wires running down the walls, and very easy for someone to cut the power. So I had to buy this on amazon and the warranty is only for 90 days. Before we had 3 years warranty. Another issue is They changed from RJ45 to Micro USB type Cameras which now require an $18.00 cable adaptor. Will be looking for another company now .

So far I've bought 3 of these kits to replace cameras that have stopped working after spending 5 years outside in the sun (surprised they lasted this long in the Memphis heat). Installation is super simple. I like that this newer version camera lets you hide all the cables in the steel mounting brackets. My 1st gen NVR system immediately recognized and added the new cameras once i plugged them in. Another nice feature of the 3rd gen cameras is they are time coded on the individual camera and not just from the NVR. I prefer to run my own cat5E and cut it to length and use the adapter from RJ45 to Micro USB than having to use the cables given with a new NVR system. Highly recommend for funlux/zmodo systems where you need to go from 1st gen to 3rd gen cameras.

The camera work well with app but will not show up on my power over ethernet nvr

Used these as replacements for zmodo wireless cams that became inoperable and not supported by zmodo after 1 year of use. Would’ve given these 4 stars, but considering why I purchased, 3 max. Wire from cam could use another 6” for a bit more mounting flexibility.

Good replacement for my existing 1 gen sPOE Zmodo NVR. I lost a camera due to damage during hurricane Irma and needed to replace it. This camera has slightly better picture than the original cameras that came with the NVR kit and the mounting bracket seems to be a little more sturdy.

Stopped working after only 3 months. Like everyone is saying online, stay away from Zmodo. Cheap hardware and pretty much non-existent customer service. App is also out dated and glitchy. How this company is still in business is beyond me.
