Lectron 40 Amp Level 2 EV Charger - 240V, 40 Amp, 9.6 kW, 15 ft Extension Cord & J1772 Cable - Portable Electric Car Charger for J1772 EVs with NEMA 14-50 Plug

I've used this several times now and it works well, so far. The only drawback is that it's a bit short for where I wanted to use it, but I should have measured the area first. I doubt I would have purchased the longer cord though since the price was a little steep for the extra feet. I just take turns using the charging space with our other EV since the cord reaches there, instead of using our other charging port.UPDATE: Unfortunately, this cord stopped working properly after a couple of months. It would stop charging after 30 minutes or so, making me have to keep checking on it and having to restart it. After working with the company that sold it, they replaced the cord. However, again after a couple of months, the new cord is doing the same thing. I haven't even bothered contacting them about the replacement cord. I'm using this for my Hyundai Ioniq 5 and will be looking for a new cord from a different company. This has been an expensive mistake, so use caution when considering this brand.

This charger worked great at first . I have had it for less than 2 months and a couple times thought it felt extremely hot when charging and had to unplug and Re plug it in but chaulked it up to summer heat. Unfortunately yesterday the charger wasn’t charging at all and I could barely hold it in my hand it was so hot. I unplugged and waited but my car kept telling me there was a charger connection error. I had to attach my slow charger to my car which worked fine but it takes very long to charge. Because I have had it for more than 30 days but less than 60 days there is no return or replacement and when I searched product warranty it comes up blank . I originally loved this charger and would replace it if it was a product error but getting no help from either seller nor Amazon on options .

Good for charging low amperage PHEV, but it’s shorter than you think. The length is plug to plug and the control box isn’t waterproof, so the remaining cord isn’t practically long enough if you have to run it outside; even if mounted next to door.

This charger worked great for me for a year, and then after a heavy rain storm it stopped working. Even though I was right at the edge of my warranty, customer service was great and they replaced my charger. I will buy from this company again!

The charger worked great for a few months. Then it started losing connection to my car after 20-30 minutes and the charger handle was hot to the touch. I attempted to file a warranty claim. They made it very difficult and asked the same questions several times. Slow responses back to me and responses only during the middle of the night. After several back and forths they finally agreed to do a warranty replacement.Despite me asking them to send me the replacement cable in advance so I wasn’t left without a charging solution (being able to partially charge by unplugging and replugging the cable every 30 minutes is better than nothing), they insisted that I return the cable first before they’d send a replacement. They promised they’d promptly send the replacement. After they received my defective cable they emailed me to inform me they were out of stock and unable to send a replacement. It took multiple follow up emails to get them to give me a rough timeline of about two more weeks. I’m still in that two week window and have asked them what their proposed solution is for those two weeks because I’m now stuck using expensive super charging just to use my car.

Used this charger from my home outlet several times. Reliable, easy to use so far in my short experience. I've not used any of the Smart Features.

As described, does the job

This charger worked good for a few times and I was happy about my purchase. I used it only a few times over 2-3month time period. Then on the 3rd time using it, the charger broke. While plugging it into my car, the status said “Over Temperature” 248 degrees. But yet the charger was cold and had not been used.I’d have given this a 1star only, but… the Lectron customer service was quite good-ish ??I contacted Lectron directly, gave them my order number and they replied 1-2days, were in constant communication with me the whole time. They stated they were going to send me a replacement, so I shipped my unit back to Lectron,(postage paid by Lectron). Then they replied saying they wouldn’t replace my unit, because it was a refurbished unit.I bought my unit from Amazon “Lectron” store, with no knowledge that my unit was a refurbished unit and they didn’t have any accommodating units.The Lectron agent did say I would be refunded my full amount, and I received it couple days later.All I want is a simple charger that works, now I have to do some more research and find a solid brand.
