Works as outlined in product description. Found it very good for steaming vegetables. Set it and forget it. It can be set to heat, boil and steam in increments of 6 minutes and then go to standby warm mode. Boils fast. With a little experience vegetable type, quantity and time is a cinch. Lost one star because there is a learning curve for setting the controls.

I am a college student and I cook a lot. This has helped me so much and I feel like I have a whole kitchen in my dorm. I want to buy a second one because I love it so much.

Is this normal? I like this pot a lot, the only thing is used few times the bottom looks like this, actually this is the replacement, I sent the first one back ( second picture), I am not sure if keep this one or send back……

The pot I received has soft button controls. The instruction sheet showed a physical switch. When I asked for the correct instructions, I got verbal garbage and no correct instructions. Don't buy.
