The best sweetner although works out expensive.
Having recently tried a couple of the other widely available sweeteners on the market, namely sucralose (Splenda) and Stevia, I thought I'd give Xylitol a try.Initially it didn't appear massively more expensive on a grams/pence basis. In use, however, it doesn't go nearly as far as the other types, as a teaspoon of Xylitol weighs a lot more than the equivalent volume of the other products. This is due to the fact that Xylitol closely resembles granulated sugar in texture and appearance whereas the other are in the form of a fine white powder which weighs very little for it's volume.Xylitol wins by a long way on taste though. Personally I can't taste the difference between it and sugar, it's great stuff! There's no detectable after taste, unlike the bitterness experienced with sucralose, and even more so with Stevia. You do have to use less Xylitol to achieve the same level of sweetness as the other two but it still won't go very far if you have a sweet tooth like me. If you want a direct replacement for granulated sugar then Xylitol is the best in my opinion.Another plus for Xylitol is that it's a naturally occurring compound, unlike the man-made chemical sucralose. Ok, stevia is a natural leaf derived substance, but is disappointingly bitter. As an added bonus, Xylitol also has a beneficial effect against tooth decay.Anyway, if you're thinking of trying Xylitol, and can justify the cost, then this 3 pack of Total Sweet (delivered free by Amazon) works out about the best value I could currently find.EDIT: If you plan to use this product on a regular basis then the 1kg bag is better value for money Total Sweet Total Sweet 1kg . The package itself re-seals well but I usually decant it into another container for frequent use.

Good taste and consistency, unlike other types of sweeteners
Xylitol is quite expensive compared to other sweeteners, but if you use it often, it’s worth it. It doesn’t have that weird cakey consistency most powder sweeteners have, it’s not fructose or any other so called “natural” sweeteners that are just as bad as standard sugar, and it doesn’t have the horrible bitter taste of stevia. Overall, I would recommend.

This is the nearest to sugar there is!
I was so pleasantly surprised when I first tasted xylitol. I would say it's the nearest thing to sugar on the market. It's less in calories and is actually good for your teeth? Great to have sweet tea again. All the other sweeteners I have bought have had awful aftertastes and remain in my cupboard until they finally get slung out. Don't waste your money on other sweeteners - this is the real deal.

love it
I was looking for sugar alternative, but did not want to use artificial sweeteners. This is natural, sweet, great for cooking and baking.

Great price on ordering
I have been using Perfect Sweet (now rebranded as Total Sweet..so that's what you'll get if you order) for about 4 months now. Have it on cereals and fruit and use it in cooking, and it is very good indeed. I still have a load of Splenda left in a carton in the cupboard but that will probably be there till doomsday now...or until I run out of Total Sweet. I was hesitant about trying at first, but my concerns were unwarranted. This is a very good sugar alternative. This product is not strictly as sweet as sugar, but only marginally less. Has a perceptible but barely noticeable 'cool' quality to it on the tongue. Unnoticeable on foods like cereals, and when used in cooking, etc. The downside is the cost compared to alternatives. When I got this three pack it was less than the price it is now, so better value. Shame it is so expensive as the packs are only 225g which doesn't go very far.

Perfect Sweet!
Been using this product for a very long time, it's a natural, Diabetic friendly, and good for the body. It is pure xylitol, which can even be found in our own bodies. Which is why it works in harmony with our bodies. Apart from this, anyone can use this. The only thing wrong about xylitol is that it is not suitable for baking even though they say it is on the packet. This product can be bought in the supermarkets like Holland & Barratt & Waitrose. When those shops run out of Total Sweet, you can get this from Amazon & the delivery is quick.

Great value for money. Whitened my teeth.
Xylitol prevents tooth decay and strengthens enamel. I make a solution of this as a mouth rinse. This is a quality product and great value for money.

Good
A bit cheaper than buying from Holland and Barrett. I like Xylitol far more than sugar. It has laxative effects so if someone is constipated, it will be an excellent product for them to try instead of sugar.
