So basically in a nut shell this is not giving accurate readings. When you point it to a human it’s about 2 degrees out but when you point it to an oven it seriously is about 15 degrees out! I personally can’t justify this. It’s not a bad product but if I’m buying something and it doesn’t do what it’s supposed to do then this product is faulty. But the fact that other reviewers are saying it’s not accurate then this tells me the product is bogus. I hope this helps someone find something better/accurate. Ps there is no way of calibrating tel he gun.

This has been a little over-designed in terms of features, when just a simple point and shoot would have made for a much better product. I only use it infrequently for monitoring a BBQ grill, so forget how it works each time.
