Worth every penny I spent!!!
Being an A-level English Literature student on the Edexcel syllabus, this book will definately be of great help, as I am studying Metaphysical poetry, and to my relief, most of the poems that I am studying with the exception of only one poem, 'Batter my Heart' by Donne, are in the book. This may not be the case with other people who are also studying metaphysical poetry as part of the edexcel syllabus- the poems we study may depend on teacher's preferences unless I am completely mistaken. Some of the poems in the book aren't relevant to what I've been taught, but I'm not particularly fussed, as all but one of the poems that I have studied is included.Just to clarify things, the poems in the book are:(John Donne)Elegy: T his Mistress Going to Bed, The Flea, Song (Go, and catch a falling star), The Sun Rising, The Canonization, Air and Angels, A Valediction: forbidding Mourning, The Relic, Holy Sonnets, Good Friday, 1613. Riding WestwardI also studied A Nocturnal upon St. Lucy's Day, and while it is not listed here, there is an extended commentary about it, so I won't complain!(George Herbert)The Church-Floor, Jordan (1 and 2), Prayer 1, Man, Mortification, The Pulley, Redemption, The Collar(Thomas Carew)An Elegy upon the Death of the Dean of Paul's, Dr John Donne(Richard Crahsaw)Hymn to Saint Teresa(Andrew Marvell)On a Drop of Dew, The Nymph complaining for the death of her Fawn, To his Coy Mistress, The Garden(Henry Vaughan)Regeneration, The World, ManThen there's all sorts like extended commentaries, background information such as the historical context in which the poems were written, critical approaches and, in short it's all good stuff. I suppose if you've read so far and it sounds like it's for you, then I don't think there's any further reason to hesitate to buy this!Any further queries, feel free to ask! I hope this review's been helpful!

Ok, worth buying cheaply
This book was ok, during my A level English Literature course I read through this book to give me a few ideas, which is all revision guides can really do at this level. I would recommend getting a cheap but new one, if it gives you an idea for one good point in the exam, then in my opinion it was worth the buy.
