The Show: a twisty spy thriller set in Italy (Clarke and Fairchild Book 6)

I must admit this book turned out to be a cracker. There are so many twists and turns. Things really started to heat up when Rosies' life was 'threatened.' The FBI agent who came to her rescue with his unbelievable story about being a lone survivor, please!From then on, it was a roller coaster to be sure. I enjoyed reading, but the ending came too soon.

Rose and Fairchild are working together on an international manhunt with Rose, masquerading as an on-the-run crypto queen, acting as bait and a reluctant Fairchild providing one of his luxury hotels as the venue. Tension builds from the start because you know that, despite the promises, there is no way that the security services can guarantee Rose's safety. Everyone is a potential assassin and you are left constantly trying to work out who might get to Rose and how. Even when you think you know, you don't! There are some familiar faces from the other books too - some good, some not so good - who also have a part to play. It's particularly good to see the way Rose and Fairchild's relationship has developed which makes it extra nail-biting when their relationship is put at risk.

My mind was boggled by the complexity of the plot, nearly killing Rose and almost costing Fairchild a chunk of money, or did it as they were playing the con man at his own game although other players were in the game for different reasons. I had to go back a few times to figure out who was who and what their part was but it all made sense in the end.

I loved everything about this book, The Show. And what a show it was! Capri that's where it all happens. A well written book. It's the 1st T.M. Paris i have read it won't be the last.

Great book

Not your typical spy series. Very well written with a lot of detail. Clarke and Fairchild are both intriguing characters in different ways, Rose more into loyalty to country and John always on the edge. It appears there will be more in the series other than the 6 I've read.

This thriller keeps you guessing right up until the end. Was a bit slow to get started but then the storyline developed and you are never quite sure who knows what.

Too many details which distract. There’s not enough background story and investment in character development for me to feel engaged.

I can say without hesitation that I was completely drawn into the adventure and had no idea whst was coming. I really can't recommend it enough. In all fairness, it was a little slow getting started but once it got rolling, it really was great. I enjoyed the characters, the location, the action and the end, which I will not reveal. Take a chance, I think you'll be like it. If anyone is looking for a movie to make, this is a good place to start. Enjoy!
