Purchased for an os migration
Purchased this to migrate my OS to a new drive where I was limited on m2 slots. This did the job well and had decent speeds via USB to transfer a copy of my old drive onto the new. Very easy to use and screw less making it easy to keep swapping our drives when needed.

It's well built and does exactly what it's supposed to,.
I'm a computer engineer so I use devices such at this on a regular basis. This is a mighty fine piece of kit that's been used so far for 11 upgrades from HDD to SSD (using Disk Genius). It's performed flawlessly and it's incredibly fast. Very easy, comes with the right cables for full size and small USB connectors and is well priced. Can't recommend highly enough.

Easy to install, possibly a bit plasticky
I ordered this because a previous attempt to order an Orico enclosure resulted in my receiving some sort of laundry product. I really wanted the Orico but decided that ordering a different product would be safer. Like the Orico, this enclosure features a lightly finned metal exterior, but unlike the Orico the interior consists of a plastic chassis with no thermal pads or jacket for the drive. Knowing how hot my other m.2 gets, I am reserving judgement on the long term performance of this enclosure. However, for now, it is working fine and the performance seems exactly the same as my other m.2 enclosure.

Good quality
As a tech-savvy person, I'm always on the lookout for the latest and greatest gadgets. So, when I stumbled upon this little beauty, I knew I had to give it a try. Let me tell you, this thing is a game-changer! No longer am I bound by the confines of my laptop's limited storage space. With the VCOM M.2 NVMe SSD Enclosure, I can easily and quickly expand my storage capacity with any M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD of my choice. Plus, with its sleek design and tool-free installation, it's as easy as pie to set up and use.And the speed! Oh, the speed! This thing is lightning fast! With USB 3.2 Gen2 and support for UASP and Trim, I'm able to transfer data at up to 10Gbps, making file transfers a breeze. It's like the Flash of storage enclosures! But wait, there's more! This little wonder is also incredibly versatile, supporting M-Key (B+M Key) and sizes in 2230/2242/2260/2280 SSDs (not for M.2 SATA). It's like a Transformer for SSDs! And if that wasn't enough, it even comes with a handy LED indicator that lets you know when it's in use.Overall, I can confidently say that the VCOM M.2 NVMe SSD Enclosure is a must-have for anyone looking to expand their storage capacity without breaking the bank. So go ahead, give it a try and thank me later. Your laptop will thank you too!

cooked itself after 5 minutes of use
Nicely built and put together, nice toolless design and comes with a thermal pad.Sadly though it cooked iteself within about 5 minutes of use and also managed to wipe the drive that was in it.Thankfully the ssd survived the experience but no data was recoverable and it had to be reformatted. After this happened the enclosure did get detected when plugged in but whatever drive was in it (tried with another known good ssd) would come up as unreadable & as needing initialised. Attempting to initialise the drive, either via windows storage snapin or command line would fail with an unknown error.Putting the drive in another enclosure worked fine and could be read and written to normally.Dont bother with this one, shame about the issues as its a nice design but nicely built enclosures arent worth anything if the electronics arent up to the task.

Works with Raspberry Pi OS
Got this to attach an SSD to a Raspberry Pi 3b+. I installed the drive in the enclosure attached it to the P and booted Raspberry Pi OS from the SD card as usual, opened the imager which when I went to chose a destination had picked up the SSD without my having use GParted or anything. Installed the OS, shutdown, removed the SD Card and now I'm running from the SSD 🙂 Takes about 50 seconds to boot tbh but I can live with that.
