Pour-Over Perfection
The 1Zpresso K-Ultra Manual Coffee Grinder is a game-changer for any coffee enthusiast, particularly those who have a penchant for pour-over brews. Its daily use in my routine is a testament to its quality and convenience. Having transitioned from being an espresso aficionado to a pour-over lover, largely thanks to this grinder, I can confidently say it outperforms others like the Hario grinder in several aspects. What sets the 1Zpresso K-Ultra apart is its ease of use and maintenance. Grinding coffee beans requires minimal effort, making the process enjoyable rather than a chore. The uniformity of the grind it produces is remarkable, directly contributing to a cleaner and more refined taste in the coffee. This consistency is something that coffee connoisseurs will particularly appreciate. The grinder's design also deserves praise, especially the strong magnetic holder which ensures stability and hassle-free operation. Adjusting the grind size is straightforward and efficient, thanks to the external setting mechanism - a feature that makes it user-friendly even for beginners. After using it for seven months, I found disassembling and cleaning the grinder to be surprisingly simple, which is a significant advantage for anyone who dreads the upkeep of their coffee equipment. For anyone deeply invested in the art of pour-over brewing, the 1Zpresso K-Ultra Manual Coffee Grinder is a top recommendation. Its combination of user-friendly features, efficient design, and the ability to elevate the taste of coffee makes it a worthy addition to any coffee lover's toolkit.

Well Engineered and Manufactured Product
This product is outstanding. The packaging alone is well designed and fits like a glove. The smoothness and adjustability and fit and finish are outstanding on this grinder. I use this for grinding coffee on a daily basis. This is effortless and fast.- The adjustability and micro-detent adjustments are spot on and easy to dial in for any application.- The 2 TBS from Aeropress fits snug inside the opening making loading a breeze and mess free.- The finish is perfect.- The rubber pad on the bottom of the grind cup is a nice touch.- The long handle is ergonomic and makes grinding super quick and effortless.- The carrying case fitment is solid. I do not care for the stretch band however. Note: this is the only thing I do not care for.The grind consistency is so dialed in it makes me love using this as my No. 1 Grinder non stop since purchasing it. I have used other grinders. This is in a whole other realm of quality and process control. The grind quality is more uniform and consistent over other grinders that crush and spit out random-sized chunks. That used to waste my grind. I had to use double or triple the grind not knowing what was wrong. The problem was the grinders were not doing their job.I no longer run 4TBS just to get flavour. I even tried running a single tablespoon with a grind range of 5 to 6. I was shocked at the amount of flavour when running 1TBS into the large XL Aeropress Model filled to the top. I cut my grind consumption rate in half. This is an amazingly well designed and superbly executed coffee grinder. Don't wait. Just get it. You will appreciate it upon receipt just on the packaging alone.

Really great grinder over all
What I use this for:Primarily pour over coffee (V60), and potentially for espressoReviewing after about 7 months of consistent useWhat I like about this:- Materials used, feels like they used good materials and does not feel cheap. Everything from the metal, magnets, wood for the hand, rubber grip, etc. have that feel that they are good quality materials. But are they? Who really knows, but they sure do feel that way.- Case included, blower, and double headed brush are all a nice touch. Continuing the high quality, overall the case is high quality and does do a good job protecting the grinder. The interior pocket system for the handle, the blower, and brush are questionable so is the decision to use a velvety lining which potentially can be harder to clean (but does keep the grinder safe from scratching). The blower and brush are similarly made well- Easy to use and grind with. My first hand grinder was the Hario Skerton and grinding with that was a pain, nothing was smooth about it. The K-Ultra is smooth, easy, really satisfying to use.- Magnet grind cup is absolutely wonderful. Don't have to worry about threads getting grounds on them, grounds don't leak out, overall just a pleasure to use- Ground size seems to pretty consistentWhat I don't like:While some of this might be nitpicky, I think it is warranted, after all this is a $290 grinder.- Number alignment for grind size, is always off with the dot marker; while this isn't a huge deal, it's annoying to have such an expensive grinder and the white dot marker at the top always being slight off to the left or right for the number indicator- Disassembly to clean. You can't really get a good cleaning on the inside of the grind simply because there are things in the way, like structural supports and while I understand that some of this will always exist for hand grinders I think there could have been some better engineering to avoid this for a $300 grinder- Reassembly is somewhat confusing and zeroing the grinder is pretty annoying and not user friendly. Because the numbers are always a bit offset from the grind size indicator as mentioned above, I'm constantly guessing if I did it correctly or notOverall, I do like using this grinder. But do I think it was worth the price tag with it's imperfections? Debatable. It makes good coffee, sure, and the build quality is there. But the lack of attention to detail for the grind size indicator to line up with the numbers along with the reassembly and the method in which you have to zero the grinder is some what of a red flag to me. Would I recommend this grinder to my friends and family? Probably not with the things that I dislike about it, but if you're just wanting to make good coffee and can overlook those flaws then maybe (although I cannot recommend paying full price for it in that case).

Extremely consistent results for espresso
I've been using the 1Zpresso for 5 weeks. The grind consistency is excellent and it's easy to adjust (e.g., for different beans and humidity). I weigh the beans with an Acaia Lunar, grind, stir the grinds in the 1Zpressos basket with a fork, and dump directly into to the Lelit Elizabeth's porta filter. There's no waste and it takes up very little space. The last 20 shots using the 1Zpresso have been as as good as my very best shots using my Mazzer Mini. I make 3-5 shots per day, so hand grinding is not an issue. Yes, this is a very expensive hand grinder, but it's ~ < 1/4 the cost of an electric grinder that produces equivalent results.

I use it everyday
The only thing that would make this perfect (for me) is if I can grind at least 60g of my coffee beans at once. Other than that, its easy to use, and produces a good grind. I never intended to use it everyday, but I really enjoy manually grinding, bringing water to temp in a kettle, and pouring over an chemex. With all the automation I have going on in my life these manual tasks really help me start my day off a bit more "grounded".
