Camp Chef MMGRILL Mountain Man Over Fire Grill & Griddle

We do a lot of camping at Assateague National Park (near the beach), and the ground can still be relatively sandy. Will this work there?

I see there is no real lock on the stake to hold the trays at the height you choose. Do they ever slide down with weight on them?

I have installed ours and it is outside all the time and it has rusted. How do i get the rust off and cook? Or is it ruined?

I want to have the option of keeping the stake IN the firepit at all times and simply add the grate when we want to cook..how is everyone's holding up
