perfect state and boxing
Too soon for 5 stars (received a fews days ago) but : quick delivery, perfect state and boxing. Now the phone : I come from the (almost perfect but highly underrated LG V20. Heavy duty use, no issues) and had to return the Note 8 (u can't edit pics with a curved screen), same for LG V 30 (which screen was disappointing - V20 is brighter). The U11 Plus is a glittery/shiny/show off phone that hides a ... powerful factory. HTC let us free now to do almost what we want and except fo the SDCard access to grant which is a bit tricky, everything is nice and fast. Oreo is ... nice too (sound system is perfect, screen is good in the sun) . So almost perfect except a few details : you have to make a choice btw sim + SD or sim + sim but all the new high end are like that, no swappable battery (the V20 had both) but that's the price to pay for a "waterproof" phone. Great phone, looks and feels rugged (and glittery too LOL).

since you can pretty much see the spec yourself in any phone website
I have owned the Galaxy S8, S8+, Sony XZ, Sony XZ1, Pixel 2, Pixel 2XL, and now this phone. I will not bore anyone with the technical details, since you can pretty much see the spec yourself in any phone website. I have a somewhat different or unusual criteria from other people when it comes to a new phone.- The phone is just as fast, if not faster than its competitors. This really should have been the Pixel 2XL, Google messed up big time when deciding to let LG build their 2XL. My 2XL fingerprint scan stopped working a week after I got it!- I love the vibrant and clear flat screen, I am not a fan of curved screens. Getting a privacy screen 4 way is a big deal to me since I take public transport daily. Too many gawkers looking over my shoulder. The only downside is that there are not many vendors selling this on Amazon.- Customizable navigation button! I am able to change the location of the back button, have a dedicated screenshot button instead of pressing power and volume key. This is a must for a left handed person like me.- No bloatware to deal with, so I do not need to put in my own custom rom to get rid of junk...- HTC edge squeeze, this is an awesome and highly underrated feature. I have not seen anyone else with this feature. Pixel 2XL has something similar but it only opens up Assistant. You can customize your own to open up any app like camera, assistant or even a rotary menu on the right side. Yeah!- No headphone jack is not a big deal to me since I pair mine with the Sony MDR1000X and Sony WI1000X. Both are noise cancelling, and boy, is the sound amazing! The only phones that actually surpasses the audio on this is the Sony XZ and XZ1- No U.S warranty, but I just purchased a squaretrade warranty for 2 years to give me peace of mind.Anyways, looks like this phone is a keeper for me that should tide me over for the next couple of years. I hope new HTC U11+ owners can enjoy their phone as much as I do mine.

A great phone with amazing customizability and accessibility options.
I have had the phone for only one week, but so far I really like it. I upgraded from another HTC phone, the HTC M8, and the improvements are much needed. Previously, I only had an android version that was in the 4 range. This phone is up to date with the newest version of the operating system, version 8 (oreo), and the differences are noticeable. The upgrades to HTC sense are there as well, and I really dig the ability to customize the bottom buttons to whichever position you like. Additionally, the most novel feature, the squeeze, is a huge hit for me. I personally feel that you have to go out of your way to accidentally trigger a squeeze, and there is an indicator on the screen for when your squeeze is a 'short squeeze' or a 'long squeeze', so there's no confusion. You can also configure how hard or soft the squeeze should be. If you find yourself accidentally hitting the squeeze, increase the tolerance. The hardware is great. I was hitting a bottleneck of RAM on my last phone (2GB) that was causing awkward slowdowns and temporary freezes. I do not experience these with my phone, on account of the amount of RAM being tripled to 6 GB. That's not to say that it won't happen in the future as the phone ages, but I think the RAM in phones is finally catching up with the poor quality of how most phone apps are written, in terms of memory usage. The display is nice. I enjoy the coloration of it personally, and I find that it's not too bright. I did have trouble with my last phone in summertime daylight sun, and I haven't experienced that kind of brightness with my new phone, but in this season (winter), I find the device operates at a very nice brightness level. The battery, being a new phone, is phenomenal. Right now, leaving it on but inactive throughout the day costs maybe only 20% of the battery, tops, meaning that it may run for two or three days on a single charge with limited use. That's a plus for me because I tend to forget to charge it on some nights. If there's one thing that really speaks to me about this phone, it's the customization aspect of it. I really like being able to configure the squeeze and which applications it opens, as well as the bottom bar as I mentioned, and almost anything about the home screen. I disabled the blinkfeed because I'm not a fan. The other great thing about this phone, which is becoming common, is the fingerprint scanner. This is convenient to unlock the phone or an app that recognizes it, instead of having to connect the dots. One feature that does not appeal to me in any way is multiple sim card slots - the card has two, and in some markets, such as the European market that this is intended for (I brought one to America). I just don't have the need to have multiple cellphone plans, but to some it might be a selling point; I cannot speak to it. For use in America, I've seen that Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile each support the frequency bands that the phone uses, but this is not intended to be an exhaustive list. I personally have T-Mobile and switching over to this phone was done quickly with no problems. Your mileage may vary depending on your location. The only other phone I would have considered getting other than this is the Pixel 2, which to me seems like the closest phone to this.

This would be the best phone ever except the display is almost useless outside ...
This would be the best phone ever except the display is almost useless outside - it is just not bright enough. It is great inside.

Don't work well with tmobile No band 2
No band 2 support so T-mobile customers in newyork city take note ive only receive one out of ten calls on this phone and when making call take forever to connect and after a few minutes phone almost away drop call or cant hear the person on the other end. Also Take note this phone can not be s-off as sunshine offer no support for this Model u11plus so you cant add band 2 support for those Geniuses out there who think they can buy it and work around this problem. This Model has no work twrp as it adb side load functions and zip dont work for this model. The u11plus is all impossible to root without pulling boot image using adb to use with magisk. Plus venom rom just went out of business so no venom rom for this version.

Amazing phone
This is a great phone, the demise of HTC phones will never be understood by me. Only downside is the lack of cases etc available. A worthy replacement for my s7 edge
