Excellent Series
Line of Duty was recommended to us and we were not disappointed. Something different on the cops and robbers theme and many twists and turns.

Excellent
I saw Season 5 on Netflix and was sufficiently impresses to buy this box set. Well worth it. Season 5 can stand alone, although, with the knowledge of Seasons 1-4, it makes a whole lot more sense. Interesting story line, with many twists and turns, and some superb acting (Susan Vidler as Det. Spt. Alison Powell in Season 5). But The Big Fish is still out there, somewhere. As a native of Belfast, I had fun spotting the view out of the Deputy Chief Constable's window, which always seemed to be changing!

Can't stop watching it!
What more can one say about this gripping series. It is so captivating and enjoyable to watch. Due to available time, it is not often I watch a box set more than once but in this case, it needs to be studied to keep up with the latest series. It is all linked. Get it before you regret it!

One of the very best detective series ever made.
Many people have raved about the recent series "The Bodyguard". Well, Line of Duty is up there alongside that one. Gripping drama, well acted out and the actors chosen to play Police chiefs, like Adrian Dunbar really look like police force stereotypes if they were not actors! Keeley Hawes features in Series 2 and plays a fantastic role, just as she did in the recent series "Traitors" and as the Home Secretary in Bodyguard. Each series features a strong leading character, such as DCI Tony Gates, played by Lennie James in series 1, Sgt Danny Waldron (Daniel Mays) in series 3 and DCI Roz Huntley played by no less than Thandie Newton in series 4. A "must-watch" box set, worth every penny!

One of the best crime dramas for years
OMG, SUCH a good show! It's up there with the first season of Luther - gripping, authentic feeling drama with multi-layered narratives and complex, believable characters. Our main players make mistakes, trust the wrong people and struggle to deal with life in and outside of the job - they're real. I loved that I genuinely couldn't pick the mole/bad guys at various points - some people seem shady, and are, but you're not sure how shady, others seem like one of the good guys and you might even root for them, until the big reveal. Bloody good telly! It's not flashy or needlessly violent - there's no Michael Bay-style explosions to get rid of a fiddly plot point. It's good detective work and never knowing who's on what side. Reminds me a bit of the Smiley's books by John Le Carre - you're never completely sure who is 'us' and who is 'them'.Sadly, based on real-life cases, I doubt the IPCC is as well staffed as these guys - or maybe they just have all the same problems?

Gripping police based drama
If you like police based TV dramas filled with twists and suspense then please read on.I have been a fan of all four series of Line of Duty so when this box set was released it was a must buy. I think each series has actually got better than the previous one with some superb plots, actors with many twists and turns in the story line. The series is based around AC12, a police anti corruption unit who investigates "bent coppers". Each series has a central investigated character although there is some overlap between series 2 and 3. I will not go into the plots themselves but I will say they are well written and acted with some gripping episodes. A week for the next TV episode to materialise was a long long wait, it was that good.Well worth the money for a multi-series box set that should make you want to watch the next episode straight away.

TV drama at its absolute best
Very late to Line of Duty but ended up purchasing the season 1-4 box set after reading some favourable reviews and getting recommendations from a bunch of people. Wow, just wow! This is without question one of the best police dramas I've ever had the good fortune of watching. Each season builds on the previous one and gets better and better as the police corruption seems to stretch further and deeper into the upper echelons of the police force. The story lines are intriguing, the acting superb and the dialogue razor sharp. It does not get better than this show.A word of warning: Line of Duty is highly addictive and you will find it very difficult to watch any of the seasons without wanting to bowl them over in one binge session. Yes, it is really that good. If you enjoy top quality TV drama then I cannot recommend this show highly enough. It is without question a must-have in any DVD collection.
