Excellent
Really happy with this. Use it for work in (cold/wet/freezing) factory and the screen works perfectly. No more wet note pads and struggling pens.

Works well enough but 'look and feel' is disappointing. Requires CR1220 cells
I like the way this product functions. The keyboard is soft-touch membrane. The LCD display is clear and easy to read. The notepad function works reasonably well, although the display shows writing as a pale green against a dark background, not a combination conducive to clarity in poor lighting conditions. There is a button to clear the notepad. I would have liked to be able to override this, but that facility is not available.I am not sure why the calculator requires a battery cell if it is solar powered. I will have to work on that.My main disappointment is the case. Made from thin, hard plastic it might be light enough for a jacket pocket but does not have a quality feel about it.

A basic calculator with a useful notepad.
The interesting feature of this calculator is, of course, the erasable notepad. Using the stylus stowed at the back of the notepad, quite a lot of writing can be fitted on the screen, looking like pale fine white marker on the black background. It's not overly contrasty, but readable in most conditions. A press of the button instantly erases all the marks. The screen has a dedicated CR1220 that slots into the edge of the housing in a plastic carrier. The calculator has a matching battery, and a solar cell as an alternative power source. Presumably, solar power is used when available in preference to the battery. With the battery removed, the calculator will work off the solar panel provided there is sufficient light, natural or artificial. There is little or no reserve in this situation. It's a fairly simple calculator with good-sized rubbery buttons and a large display. The two halves are hinged and fold closed to protect the screens. Build quality is mediocre. This slim, pocketable calculator and notepad is selling at £10.95 with voucher, currently, including delivery.

Nice enough calculator with disappointing LCD pad.
This does everything a calculator does with no issues at all, but I have a calculator and what I wanted this for was the LCD pad to make notes as I'm going but it is a dark green on a black background, I'm not sure why you would choose to go with that combination, but it kind of ruins the one thing that makes this calculator unique and means I'm still making notes elsewhere so he will just sit in a drawer until somebody needs him.
