Impressive for it's size and price, thermostat seems unreliable though
Overall I'm pretty happy with this heater, it's 1500W which is the same as most space heaters that are 4x the size, it heats up the bathroom very quickly. The fan speed is not adjustable and is a bit loud, but not enough to keep me awake in the neighboring bedroom. It has good safety features, will turn off instantly if it starts to tip. The only reason it's not 5 stars is the thermostat, I can turn it up half way and it's off when the room is 64F, then the next day it can be at 1/4 and still blowing while the room is at 70F, could be because of the small space it's in but I have to fiddle with the thermostat a lot.

Works great!
I was a little hesitant on buying this, but honestly it was totally worth it. I’ve bought space heaters from Walmart and Best Buy and they did not work as well as this one - not to mention this one was way cheaper than those two! There’s no nasty smell when you initially plug it in. It heats up my room in minutes. It’s amazing!

Does the heating job but with some limitations
This ceramic heater unit is small, compact and light. It does the heating job for a small to medium size room. I use it for my office room which is 12x10 and with standard height ceiling. I also find that the best position for these small heater units is to put them on the floor with the front unobstructed. This is because the hot air is lighter and it will rise from the floor up to fill and warm up the room. Putting them on any elevated position will not be as efficient.THE GOOD FEATURES: The unit comes with a tip-off protection sensor which is at the bottom of the unit. If the unit is tipped over, electricity will be cut off instantly to prevent fire hazards. The heating mode settings I (900w) and II (1500w) are adequate for any heating needs of any small/medium size room. Once turned on, the heating start working right away. A front indicator light is lit once plugged in. A hidden handle on back is convenient for lifting it up and moving it around.THE BAD OR LACK OF FEATURES: The fan setting is to cool down the heating element before turning it off. This fan setting is not for circulating air of your room as it is not that powerful. This fan cool down function is very manual and should be automatic as with most other small heaters. I seriously doubt that users will remember to turn to fan only setting, wait a while and then turn it off. There is also a lack of a timer function to control its operation. The heating (or thermostat) function is controlled via a rotary dial from low (-) to high (+). There is no other marking on this dial so you will have no idea where to set to get a comfortable temperature setting for your room. I usually set it at midway to start and adjust it up or down to get a comfortable setting after running it for a while. The manual about this dial is even more confusing so I give up on trying to make any sense out of it. I discover that while it is running for a while, if I turn the dial counter clockwise until I hear a "click" then the unit is turned off. So that means that with a chosen setting of the dial, if the heat in the room is high enough then the unit will turn off by itself just as the thermostat would function. And will it automatically turn on if the temperature drops below ? the manual says "no", go figure...The unit does not have a swivel function and I don't expect it to have at this price point.UPDATE: After a few days using it, I discovered that the heating rotary dial does function as a thermostat. That is, at a setting when turned on, the heater will stop the heating when a certain temperature is reached. And when the temperature drop below, the heater will kick in and start again. The only challenge is to figure out the right setting of this rotary dial since there is no marking on it. I have since upped a star to its rating for this nice thermostat function.

Has a 900 watt and 1500 setting...
The Chikit Small Space Heater is a great choice for anyone looking for a portable and efficient heater to use in their home or office. With its powerful 1500 watt heating element, this ceramic space heater can quickly heat up a small room or workspace in seconds. Plus, it features high and low heat settings, as well as a fan-only setting, so you can choose the amount of heat or cooling you need to stay comfortable. In our office, the 1500 watt heaters continually trip the circuit breaker. So I was excited to find a heater that has a 900 watt setting I can use when the office is full and and a 1500 watt setting I can use when the electrical load is not so high. Additionally, the adjustable thermostat function is perfect for maintaining a consistant temperature with our every changing climate, where its 40 degrees in the morning, 90 in the afternoon and 60 degrees by dinner.Per the Amazon ad, this space heater is made of premium-quality flame retardant material and per the box it has overheating protection and tip-over protection. The compact size of the heater and the carry handle in the back, makes it easy to move around and place on a desk or tabletop, and the quiet operation ensures that you won't be distracted by loud noises while you work or sleep.Overall, I found the Chikit Small Space Heater to be reliable and convenient. It works as advertised and it's small size makes it great for my office needs. My only concern is the flimsy plastic "shut off" button on the bottom of the heater sticks out in a way that it would be easy for it to be broken off, making the heater completely unusable, (see picture where it has the white label that says Vieveers). This needs to be reworked. But otherwise, it works great. I took off one star for bad shut off button design.

Stay Cozy and Save Money with this Nostalgic Space Heater - Just Watch Out for Your Carpets!
Not only is it compact and easy to move around, but it also packs a punch when it comes to heating up small spaces. I've been using it in my bedroom and it heats the room up in no time, saving me money on my gas bill when I use it instead of the central heating system.I also love the old-school stereo design of the heater, which adds a touch of nostalgia to my room. The ceramic heating element is durable and efficient, and the adjustable thermostat allows me to easily control the temperature. It's also equipped with safety features like overheat protection and a tip-over switch, which gives me peace of mind when using it unattended. However, one downside is that it can't be used on fluffy-type carpets—it needs to be placed on a smooth, flat surface. As I don't have much table space, I usually keep a lot of things on the carpeted floor, but that's a minor inconvenience.Overall, I'm satisfied with this product and would recommend this space heater to anyone looking for a reliable and affordable option for heating small spaces such as a room.

Trips Circuits on II Setting at 1500 Watts
This small Space Heater works well when it does. Mine works on the Fan and on I Setting at 900 Watts continuously. Despite turning the Thermostat Knob a little bit to the left, until it clicks, my Heater doesn’t turn off and then back on its own to keep a certain Temperature. I have to manually turn it on, change the Knobs and turn it off myself. The bigger Issue I have with this Heater, however, is that, when I turn the Knob to the II Setting at 1500 Watts, it runs for a little Bit but then turns off completely, shutting off my Extension Cord Surge Protector, which has an Overload Safety Feature. Then I have to manually turn everything back on, which is annoying. Other than that, I like the little Trip Switch on the Bottom of the Heater, which prevents Accidents and burning down Places. Overall, I like this small Heater and will continue using it on the lower Setting, which won’t trip my Circuits.

Office contriband? Maybe but I'm warm
This is a small heater with some nice features, but a couple of what I consider annoyances. The temperature adjustment knob works, so as you get it dialed in you will be able to maintain a reasonable level of comfort. This is the first small heater I have bought in a very long time, so this is the first one I have seen with a manual tip/over sensor. I'm not a fan, because it makes it impossible to relocate the heater while it is running without it cutting out. (Which you likely shouldn't be done, but my older heaters had handles and internal sensors that made it possible to relocate the heater if it remained level.)My other complaint is the manual cool down. The instructions say to switch it to fan before turning it off, which is not very convenient especially if you are shutting it off to leave unexpectedly and they don't suggest how long the fan should be run.I will also note the metal grate on the front of the heater gets quite hot. Not unexpected, I just mention it as a reminder for anyone that might need to consider that as a factor (kids,pets,etc.).

Decent little heater
I wanted an additional portable heater for my home office. I live in Florida, so we rarely need to use heaters in our house, just a couple of times per year during December/January. When that happens, I prefer not to turn on my central AC to heat, but instead use portable units in the rooms we are in most of the time. This unit produces a decent amount of heat, especially if you are within a few feet from it, and is capable of heating up a small room if it is ON for a while. For my purposes, it works. It has a safety pin below that would turn the unit off very quickly if it tips over...which can easily happen because it is very light. I would have liked it to have a bit more weight to it.One negative is that it does not oscillate. The other 2 portable heaters I have in my home do oscillate and I feel that makes a difference to distribute the heat better considering the small size of the units. Granted, those were a bit more expensive than this one.

Does its job well
This heats up a room well and fast. It doesn't make a whole lot of noise, either. It's surprisingly powerful for something that really is quite small. My only problem with this is that the automatic shutoff (to prevent overheating) is a bit paranoid (this could be a plus for you) and I'd prefer it if there was an option where it could run indefinitely on low heat. (I like to sit in front of space heaters like fireplaces.) Instead it'll go until the room is heated to its satisfaction, shut off, and then turn on again for a short blast when it senses the temperature is getting too low.I would recommend it however if all you want to do is heat a room. Which is what it is for. And it does get rooms HOT on the highest setting, and very safely.

Handy Desktop Heater
This heater is very small and has to be placed on a table or desk, but it's pretty powerful and heats up quickly. As usually is the case with Chinese-made products, the included user guide is incomprehensible, but fortunately this device is so simple that it does not require any instructions for use.The controls are analog and consist of 2 dials - one is an On/Off switch with 2 speed settings, and the other is for temperature selection. It does not have any markings on it, but just a + and a - sign at either end. So you move the dial up or down for your preferred amount of heat, and when it reaches some internally determined temperature, it shuts off.I like simplicity, and while I would prefer some indication of the temperature, it works when I need a little extra warmth while reading or working or just relaxing.

Small heater puts out quite a bit of heat
This heater has pretty simple controls; a thermostat dial, and a mode selector. The power cord is 6 foot long and fairly thick. On the bottom of the heater is a little plastic button to disconnect power if the device gets tipped over. The button sits a bit crooked when it's not depressed, and looks a bit flimsy, but considering it'll rarely move it seems adequate. All three modes have the same fan speed, the fan mode just blows room-temp air, the "I" setting uses 900 watts and the "II" setting uses 1500 watts. The fan is somewhat noisy, but it does a good job of moving the air around. On the second setting this little heater puts out quite a bit of heat. It took a while, but I was able to warm up a 20ft X 12ft room with it. Once the temperature on the thermostat dial is reached, the fan shuts off.
