RTIC Double Wall Vacuum Insulated Tumbler, 30 oz, Stainless Steel

After looking at the outrageously priced name brand cooler cup, I purchased a Caribou brand discount cooler cup a month ago for $10. I bought this RTIC cup because, (being clumsy), I got tired of my beverages spilling all over my car, & floor every time I knocked the darn thing over. I am very glad I upgraded to the RTIC & at the exact same price of the Caribou, but over $30 cheaper than the YETI, with almost the exact same quality and performance as the YETI. All reviews I could find online said basically that there was very little to no difference between the name brand and the discount brands. I have found this to be only partially correct. The Caribou does keep ice, without liquid added, just about as long as the RTIC, and the name brand (YETI) which the RTIC competes with, the designer of which is the brother of the "Other" name brand with the silly high price, but, when you add liquid, the results change, and fairly significantly. The RTIC cooler keeps liquids with ice in them almost twice as long as the other "discount" brand Caribou. I don't know why adding liquid changes the results, but it does. The other thing... the lid on the discount brands, (which are the same price as the RTIC), have lots of issues, like they pop right off when the cup falls over, or they allow the liquids to pour out when it falls over. The RTIC cooler cup, seals tight, the lid will NOT come off without considerable effort, your beverage will NOT spill out when it falls over, even when falling off of a car seat onto the floor etc... Plus, HERE IS THE REAL DIFFERENCE... when the lid is flipped down and sealed you can turn this cup upside down with it full of liquids and nary a drop leaks out, even being held up-side down while FULL. The flip up lid does get in the way of your nose when drinking, but the pretty much AIR TIGHT seal when it is closed, is worth the inconvenience, I think. This cup is awesome!! and at almost the exact same price as the "other" discount brands, I highly recommend it. I have friends with the $40+ YETI cooler cups, and this keeps my beverage just as cold, just as long at 25% of the price. Good Job, Keep it up RTIC!

Wow what a great product and a great price. Lid fits tight when you need it to. Morning coffee stays hot for 2 to 3 hrs then stays nice and warm for another 2 or so. But really how long does your morning coffee stay in the cups anyway. The real surprise was how long the cold drinks stay cold. On a road trip it will stay cold all day. In fact if you leave a bit in the cup overnight with some ice it will still be there in the morning. Now that's a very good product. Yes the 30 oz one fits in my Nissan Rogue cup holder just fine. Great price from Amazon combined with excellent performance of the products is a bonus for sure. I liked it so much I bought a second one. Hope this review helps those of you searching for a new drink holder. Amazon you are the best.

Holy crap, does this thing work.Here's a long, boring story. Last night around 9pm I made myself a glass of iced tea in this thing. I used crushed ice, like you get out of the soda machines at certain gas stations, or at certain restaurants. But I ended up only drinking about half of it, maybe less, before I went to bed. Snapped the lid shut and sat the tumbler on the counter to dump and wash in the morning. Fast forward to this morning, I went to dump it, and there was still ice in it. Like, ALL of the ice was still in it. The tea was still cold and fresh, as if it had been refrigerated. So I shrugged, impressed, topped it off with tea, and went about my day. Fast forward again to 3pm today... I've now had 2 full tumblers of iced tea, WITHOUT adding more ice. There's still a massive amount of ice in the tumbler. I ended up dumping it, because I wanted something other than tea, but seriously, that's 18 hours. That is insane. This product is apparently made by warlocks.

I got two of these for my wife and I to use for taking drinks to work. She takes hot coffee, I take either ice water or iced tea, so we're getting a feel for both ends of the spectrum. They perform very well at both tasks. She says it keeps her coffee hot until about lunch, maybe 4 hours. It keeps ice in my water all the way past the end of the work day if I don't drink it all (9-10 hours).I took off one star due to the little pop up latch that covers the drinking hole. It doesn't really open far enough clear out of the way, so often when taking it drink it touches your nose. If you're drinking water, it's no big deal, but if it's something else you might end up with a spot of it on your nose. It's a minor issue, but it probably wouldn't be hard to design the latch to open further and prevent that altogether.The latch does have a good rubber plug to go in the drinking hole when snapped closed, which helps prevent leaks if tipped over (havent knocked it over to see how that performs). That rubber plug does mean you get lingering coffee smells even after hand washing, though. It just gets into the nooks where you can't get to it.Lastly, we were surprised when they arrived that these are not dishwasher safe. That seems like a pretty big oversight, but it is what it is. I'm guessing it's the o-ring on the lid that limits it going in the dishwasher, so maybe it you just remove that first it'll be fine. But that's an annoying extra step, and might wear out the o-ring after enough repetitions. Overall I'd buy it again, but it does have room for improvement.

I gave to someone who was looking for the perfect mug. I got a rave review back about the size of it and how it really does hold the temperature so well. Her tea doesn't cool off like she expected so she doesn't have to make it so hot, because it will stay at that temperature for hours, she actually burned her mouth six hours after filling her cup because of how hot she usually keeps her tea. This is a great mug and highly recommended, leakproof as well and easy to clean

Hasta ahora es mi favorito, mejor que la marca líder Y3t1, la tapa sella bien aunque a veces cuesta trabajo cerrar, pero, sella muy bien, conserva el calor y frío tal como promete, el color acero me encanta, la tapa tiene el tamaño justo para un popote y el agarre es increíblemente bueno, el detalle en negro de abajo le da un toque elegante y juvenil, cabe en la mayoría de los posavasos de autos y resiste muy bien las caídas, de todas las marcas que he probado hasta ahora es mi favorito por mucho, altamente recomendable y el precio es menor que la marca líder 10 de 10

I bought this one for myself and when I saw another one, the chillout that was cheaper and had a removable handle and 2 lids and a straw I order 2 of them. I prefer being able to add the handle as they are both really big for my hand. I like to have water sitting beside me all the time and with the lid closed all of them keep the water really cold but the handle makes me more of a fan of the Chillout brand.

I bought this thinking it would keep my drink cold for only a few hours and that it most likely would leak if it tipped over. But boy was I wrong, it kept ice for 20+ hours and the drink cold for that long and does not spill when the lid is on properly and definitely worth the price of under $17 when the other name brands go for $30 or $45 at other stores.The only minor problem is that it doesn’t fit in my car cup holder well.

Se ve y se siente 100% original! Es lo que esperaría de un vaso de estas condiciones, a simple tacto sentirse pesado y seguro. Las imitaciones por lo regular son muy livianas y se sienten como “huecas” según yo. Está en cambio se siente pesado, con materiales de calidad y lo he usado unas cuantas veces y aunque no dura el montón de horas que todas las marcas te ofrecen si se aproxima con diferencia a 1 hora de calor (se mantiene aproximadamente 5 horas caliente) y unas 5 horas menos de lo ofrecido (a 19 horas de frío) . Quieres algo que dure y se siente muy bien no necesitas comprar una marca que sea costosa por moda compra algo que dure y que ofrezca calidad por lo que pagas! Bueno esa es mi opinión!
