Faultless, LEDs show you when connected and when notes are being received, long leads, great price.
The media could not be loaded. To make use of such a cable, you need a keyboard with a midi connector, and a PC or laptop with some suitable software. I recently bought a very nice roll up keyboard to take with me on weekends away, so thought it would be nice to have the ability to record compositions into my laptop, hence the purchase of this cable. The main issue is finding suitable software. The usual program I use for scoring is Musescore, but this didn't seem to want to import direct from the keyboard, so I downloaded the free app "Midi Recorder" and tried that. My keyboard only has a single midi port (well it was quite cheap!) so to record from it means plugging in the "In" midi cable. Windows 10 picks up the midi cable immediately and installs a default drive very quickly. The app had no problems identifying the external input and I tried recording and then playing back a small section of a carol (melody only, my keyboard skills are poor), which can be seen in the attached video. The cable runs from a USB port on the laptop, to the Midi Port on the keyboard. The cable length is excellent and with in and out having their own wires the input and output devices can be different and placed a long way apart. I particularly like it that the USB plug has a connection LED and a separate signal LED, which lights up only when a suitable app is running and a key is pressed.Considering the cost, this cable is faultless, minimal lag, does what it's supposed to do, and requires no software driver.

Mac users check first.
Sure it works in some cases but as another user has found, I could not get it to work on OS X (Either El Capitan or High Sierra). The Mac recognised it a USB Midi device but no midi signal came though. Gave up in the end and bought a more expensive model that worked first time. (iConnectivity)

I’ve only just plugged it into the computer and my keyboard and it works great. Midi IN/OUT working perfectly
Does as it says on the tin. Midi to usb cable works well within Ableton. I’ve only just plugged it into the computer and my keyboard and it works great. Midi IN/OUT working perfectly. Thanks

Works really well, zero latency with my i7 tower using ableton. Wires seem thin and weak though, and the usb section seems flimsy. They wouldn't survive a pull from a passing foot.

Drops notes.
Bought to hook up an old MIDI keyboard to my set up. It kept on dropping notes which I assumed was a problem with the old MIDI keyboard but tested the piano with a different cable and it was fine.
