No more salon highlights for me! I’m in love.
Alright ladies (and fellas if you’re out there). This stuff is literally magic in a bottle. Buy it. Don’t even hesitate.I posted progress photos. 1st one is my hair before sun-in. 2nd one is after 1 use. 3rd is after 2 uses. One bottle lasted me 2 rounds of complete hair lightening! That’s saying a lot since I have a lot of hair 😂My hair is very thick, and has been getting progressively more dirty blonde as I’ve gotten older. I’ve been getting highlights once a year. I know, I need to go more often for maintenance. But I can’t afford to get my hair highlighted every 6-8 weeks. As a result, roots come in STRONG and fast. This stuff is cheap, and gets the job done beautifully. My friend started using this stuff and her hair went from dirty blonde to blonde blonde. Not platinum, but definitely a medium to light blonde. I decided to try it too!About my hair: as mentioned, thick and dark dirty blonde with some salon highlights put in. My hair does tend to pull copper/orange, because I have a very slight reddish undertone in my natural dirty blonde. So, I was nervous about using the Sun-In.I tested it out on a small section of hair and left it in for 24 hours, and all went well. The next day I sectioned off my hair and sprayed each section generously with the Sun-In. I then immediately used one of those hair dryer brushes and brushed each section until it was dry. Immediate results! Subtle but definitely lighter, and it was only very very slightly coppery. I left my hair like that for 24 hours so the hydrogen peroxide in the product could do it’s thing a little more, and then washed it with purple shampoo and conditioner. I definitely recommend this step, because it will help bring out the lightness caused by the Sun-In and take away the coppery red. I also recommend a hair mask to help prevent dryness and breakage from the Sun-In and purple products, since both can potentially dry your hair out.I do think the sun-In makes my hair shinier, and I plan on doing the whole regimen every 2 weeks or so. I probably wouldn’t do it more often than that, as the sun in and blow dryer and purple shampoo/conditioner are a lot at once. I love love the honey blonde color it made my hair, while keeping the different reflective tones and depth of natural hair (dye usually mutes these and takes away the depth of hair color since there’s no more natural highlights/lowlights).

Dark brunette, doing something a little different and loving it, because there ARE plus sides to a copper tone when done right!
Love this stuff. I have really dark hair naturally so I'm not exactly looking to go blonde, unlike some brunettes who have complained about the product claiming it doesn't work, I had more realistic expectations.Yes, this will make brown hair lighten to a copper like color, which is EXACTLY what I was trying to do, but only to my ends. This is a great product for using if you want to lighten your hair slowly and in a more natural and less damaging way than using bleach. I am using this product to create a summer-like, natural looking ombre to my dark hair to enjoy for the rest of the summer, then in the fall, I will be using a bright red henna to dye create a sultry dark brown to red ombre.SO. this product is great for brunettes IF, you are purposely looking for the copper tone, which is great if you plan on dying your hair a shade of red later on. It will hold they dye better as well. This is what my brunette friends have done and it looks fantastic. In the photo, you can clearly see how much lighter my ends are compared to my natural hair color now, and this is from using the product every few days (please ignore the raspy looking split ends, as I haven't cut my hair in a year, but plan on completing this ombre before I do).The smell is not for everyone, but I like this one better compared to the tropical smell. And I wish the company would update the package for an easier spray bottle, your hands get pretty tired if you're using a lot at one time.Other than that, love this stuff! It's been around for a while, so you know it's a good product when it's considered a classic.

Wait for a month!
I'm dying my hair with henna for almost 7 years. (I used LUSH CACA ROUGE for 6 years and THE HENNA GUYS PURE HENNA for 1 years now) But over these years, eventually my hair color became darker than I wanted so I was looking for a method to lighten it up for a few tones. Since I use henna, I was a little bit nervous with using bleach or other products but I gave it a shot. The results? I didn't see much difference until I finished a bottle. I applied after washing my hair, 2-3 times a week. By the end of the month, my deep red, like burgundy ash color changed to almost ginger! It looks like a little dark ginger hair! I'm honestly wasn't expecting to see a good result but I'm happy with it! I was applying bottom half of my hair, just incase I damage it I could cut off, but so far everything looks perfect so I will be applying for entire hair from now on!MAKE SURE TO MOISTURIZE YOUR HAIR!!! after applying, or take some day just hydrating your hair without using this product. I'm a little bit over protective with my hair but as long as you take a good care of your hair, this product will do its job for sure!

Damage damage damage
I've used this product for 2 years. It's really hard to maintain and it does a lot of damage to your hair and scalp. It's great for a few applications but if you're looking for a long term change it's better to learn how to lighten your hair with actual lightener and 10 vol devolper.Do it once every 6 - 8 weeks, or if your roots are growing in too fast its easy enough to touch up and keeps the damage minimal. I've had to trim out a lot of sun in damage. It's pretty obvious because wherever I had put it the most and most often is what is the most damaged.
