Start Cooking and save the planet!
My wife and I have been using these pans for 3 - 4 weeks and are very satisfied. The pans with the strainer lids are very useful. (The strainer is never to hand when you need it!).The measuring graduations on the inside of the pans are also very useful. The frying pan is a nice intermediate size and all the pans and the fryer have heavy bases, that means that they retain the heat even when off the burners/ elements. That's something you have to get used to(if you don't want to burn your food!) but it does mean that you can use a lower heat and that saves money (and the planet!). It is best to wash or at least soak the fryer straight after use as it then cleans easier, but they all clean nicely in the dishwasher anyway. All in all a good purchase.

Four great pans, and one okay one
We needed some pans for our first home, and these seemed a great deal. I really liked the inbuilt drainer, and it is very handy. Also the glass lids are good for seeing how the food is doing without having to let out the heat. The larger, insulated lid handles are also more comfortable to hold as they do not get as hot as normal handles, although it does make it a bit bulky to store. They seal well and the heat stays in, meaning you can have the hob at a lower temperature. My main issue is the frying pan is not non stick, this makes it poor for frying, as it requires a lot more oil than a non stick pan. It also has marked quite badly where food has stuck to it. I still think the pan set is very good, but I have also invested in a couple of non stick frying pans.

Great product, great exscuses for delayed delivery
Having purchased these fantastic pots at the end of November and finally received them today 17/12/10 I feel that some courier companies are using the 'adverse weather' as an excuse rather than a genuine reason. First order went missing and it took over a week for seller to respond to this under the curtain of adverse weather, by the way still no sign of first order. I have used amazon for a number of years now and had an excellent service from them, I feel that it is a shame that their reputation is being tarnished due to courier services not being able to cope with demand and 'adverse weather. Snow is not a new weather system, rather a familiar feature that we apparently cannot cope with in todays modern world, and lack of communication between courier service and client only compounds the frustration experienced.Product itself is fantastic, will continue to use Amazon despite negative experience with courier service. If you're only going to own one pan set, this is the one to get. Also a great set to build from.
This is a fantastic pan set, and not just for the price point. It's not professional quality, but for most people it's going to be perfect for the bulk of your cooking needs. The strainers built into the lids are an excellent innovation that is missing from much higher end pans. Someone who cooks a lot would still want to get a large soup pan and a much larger frying pan or two, but for everyday cooking, sauces, warming up soups, making pasta - really great buy. Some things that could use improvement, but aren't show stoppers:- the lids do hold enough moisture (or soups/pasta-bits) between the glass and the metal that it can 'spot rust'. It's also hard to clean in that tight space, as the metal/glass contact acts to catch brush bristles.- The grips can slip around a little.

Nice little Pans
I read all the reviews and thought long and hard as I have not bought pans for 20 years. Obviously if they lasted 20 years the last ones I bought were of very good quality and survived teenagers learning to cook etc. These pans are just great. The lids have a nice handle so they don't get too hot to touch. The handles are are also insulated. The lids are great as in conjunction with the pouring lips either side you can drain food really well using the slots on the lids. My only gripe is that the frying pan is not non stick.

A bargain isn't always a bargain!
I thought the price was really good due the fact that they pans were branded "Ready, Steady, Cook", which suggested high quality to me.As these are stainless steel, the pans are not non-stick - this means that the frying pan is not suitable for things like omelette's - you just end up with scrambled eggs.Even though the handles have rubber grips, they get extremely hot and you have to use a tea towel to pick them up.The guarantee is confusing, when the pans arrived the box said "10 year" guarantee on the side, but the web description states 25 years.

Lukes Nanna..
Bought these pans on 7th April off Amazon uk. but only just used them as my new induction hob was only fitted Monday. I like the pans, even though i have only used two of then as yet.Looking at the frying pan i think the food will stick, would'nt trust it with a pancake lol., so i have purched a non stick one for induction hob (off Amazon uk.) its a bit bigger than the one in the set. But over all i am well pleased with my purchase.
