Dog Shed Control Supplement and Shampoo Bundle

I bought and administered 3 bottles of Shed-X to my dog before calling it quits. My guy sheds enough to make mattresses, and I saw a really substantial reduction in the amount of hair he shared. However, the bottle’s closure device is a disaster and I couldn’t stand dealing with it anymore. A plain old screw top with a pull-off inner seal like those on milk bottles would be a vast improvement. As it is, there is a recessed inner plug that requires pliers to remove and more muscle than it ever should. So much force was needed that I found it impossible to avoid a repercussive spill when the plug finally popped out. What a mess, to say nothing of product loss. On top of that, the outer cap allows small amounts of product to leak after it’s closed; mess on the bottle, mess on the hands, mess on the shelf. Too bad. The product works.

Love the product but the price is so far out there... the price has TRIPLED... probably won't come back for that

The king of our house is our 115-pound German Sheperd - better known as a German "shedder". Even daily brushing didn't seem to eliminate the pet hair on floors and furniture. We started Shed-X about a year ago and it's worked wonders in reducing shedding. It took about 6-weeks for maximum effect, but I would say his shedding has been reduced 90-percent. You can now actually pet him without ending up with dog hair on your hands. As a further example, we used to have to wash the couch cover on "his favorite sofa" almost daily - now we need to wash it only once a week.

My dog loves this stuff and it has made his coat extra soft and shiny. But it has not reduced the amount he sheds.

We have 3 rescue dogs. They are all terrier mixes, two have short hair. The larger one is called Shadow (he is white actually, our kids were interested in irony when he came to live with us) and perhaps we ought to have called him Shed-O. He is like some kind of hair snowstorm. We have rifts of white dog hair everywhere, even sweeping the floors multiple times a day! Our clothes were full of somewhat spiky dog hair, and we regularly found this annoying dog hair splinters in our feet! So I decided to give Shed-X a try. After a while (I am sorry, I am terrible with times and numbers) his shedding decreased. Over a year or so of use, we have noticed considerable decrease in his shedding. This is not quite a lifesaver, dog hair is not quite *that* dramatic. It makes life so much less hairy and prickly, and way more comfortable.The downside is that this product had pretty much doubled in price. As much as I appreciate this product, I will be looking for alternatives, simply due to affordability.

My Great Dane loves it on his food but the bottle sucks. I’ve bought several bottles and they all leak. I can’t figure out where it’s coming from. I will still buy it but put something under it.

We have a corgi that sheds like it's her job (she's also a very picky eater). The label states 3-6 weeks and by the end of the first bottle we started noticing a huge difference! We added this to our subscribe and save so we never run out.

I did see a reduction in shedding but the most noticeable effect was the softening of my dogs fur. You literally feel it poking you before the product. My wife would get a rash but after a daily morning add on to her breakfast. We saw a difference in a few weeks.

This product has stopped my little Chihuahua from overly shedding within two weeks. Just one teaspoon in her food twice a day and she's barely shedding now. She really likes the fishy taste too so she licks it off her food unless I mix it in. I would recommend giving it a try. Might not work as well for your pooch but I love it.

We have had our dog on the supplements since July 1st, so far we do not see any change in her shedding. We ordered 2 (32 Oz) bottles so will use it up and see what, if anything happens.Will not continue with it afterwards if doesn't improve. Way too much money for this product. One uses a lot of it. Our dog is 80lbs so that's 8Tbsp/day for the first 30 days. Disappointed in it to this point.

Significantly reduced shedding in my Pyrenees/Bernese by at least 50%. Been using it every day for 3 months now. Her coat is also thick soft and silky. She isn’t a huge fan of the taste but will eventually finish her food.

Very disappointed. We were really hoping this would help with our dogs shedding problem. The bottle only lasted three weeks and it made no improvement to his shedding. Not worth the money.

My vacuuming has gone from daily (could have been twice daily) to every second day (could be every third)! I have a Lab and a Golden so fur was everywhere in our house and on our clothes. This has been a miracle product for our family.
