It may cost a little more than your usual run-of-the-mill doorbell but it's well worth it. Personally, I dislike the cheap, chinese doorbells with dozens of appalling tunes that I would not want to hear when somebody calls. If like me, you just want a simple bing-bong then this is the bell for you. It is extremely well made and very stylish. You can have alternative tunes if you prefer - there are eight of them (Hello, Ding-Dong, Westminster, Marimba, Piano, Bell, Telephone and Soft Alert) - but I like to keep it simple.The circle around the push button lights-up when pressed so the caller knows it has worked. The plug-in unit is very smart and is easy to silence when you don't want to be disturbed. The volume control is quick and easy to use and the volume range is really good although the sound does get a bit distorted when you crank it up full. Half-way sounds about right to and you can hear that anywhere.The plug-in unit has an integrated 3-pin plug and the whole unit (about 3" square) plugs into the wall. It fits neatly into a single socket area (so it's slightly smaller than a single 3-pin socket) and doesn't stick-out very far at all. Its about 1½" deep. The halo light around the plug-in unit is a great feature. That lights-up bright and colourful when the doorbell is pressed. And if that wasn't enough there also two flashing white strobe lights (see two dark bars in picture on top of plug-in unit) that you can optionally enable and very hard to miss. They light up the wall above where the unit is plugged in.I tried a couple of those cheap ones first. Save yourself the money and just get this. You won't be disappointed.

Button easily installed.The chime box has a wealth of configuration options, from the sound to its lights.It’s a neat unit and doesn’t overlap the 2nd socket.Range appears good too.Happy with my purchase and would easily recommend.

However, the sound is not as loud as I expected.For best results, needs to placed closer to the area you spend most of the time.

So after having my first one of these I was really please with the build quality and thought it was worth paying the extra. Just had a new door fitted and wanted something of quality to adorn it. After the initial set up it was in and working and then people started to complain that I didn't hear it. The problem seems to be hit and miss as to whether ti will ring. No consistency, perhaps 3 out of 5 times it will work which is no good for a door bell. The included instruction card is absolute rubbish and even through pictures still makes a simple job complicated. It also did not explain many of the additional features such as the secondary ring you can set up for family if they press three times. Finally asked for a replacement which arrived this week. I really wanted this to work but even with the factory reset and re linking the button to the bell nothing would work, then after taking the battery in and out a few times eventually I managed to get it to work(and no I did not have it in the wrong way round). So all set up with the new on(and the secondary ring). Came home last night and nobody heard me ringing the bell. After examining it the ringer had stopped working, tried all the normal things according to the website, factory reset, re linking the button push. Nothing...no sound so now both going back. Honeywell nice build quality, nice looking but all pointless if it does not work. Come on get your act together !! I would add that at all times distance from push to bell was no more than 20 metres.

I never thought of Honeywell as a door bell manufacturer, as always associated them with plumbing equipment. When I seen this advertised on Amazon, I had to give it a go, as I remembered the quality of their other products.I have to say how impressed I am with the build and features. Wireless works seemlessly, its a very compact unit taking up roughly the height of a power socket, so when you want to use a double socket size of this unit doesn't make the second plug unusable like some other wireless doorbells, I tried many other units from he likes of B&Q and Argos, all really cheap and nasty compared to this unit.I'd strongly recommend this to other potential buyers, well worth the extra money.

I've used this design of doorbell for a year or so now and been very impressed with its reliability, flexibility and design. I bought this one to pair with my existing system so that I could mount it in the conservatory and hear the front doorbell when I'm in the garden. In that respect, it works brilliantly. I can hear it at the far end of the garden (20 metres away) even with the conservatory door closed. It drives the dog mad.My only gripe (not worth losing a star for) is that Amazon doesn't offer a bell-only package (i.e.without a bell push) which was what I really wanted. You can buy them elsewhere, but they're more expensive than Amazon's price for the combined unit, so I've ended up with an extra bell push I don't need.

Objet conforme mais ce n'est pas une prise européenne mais bien anglaise, prévoir adaptateur.

De product was voor mij onbruikbaar, omdat het was uitgevoerd met een plug zoals die in de UK wordt gebruikt. Dit laatste stond niet vermeld in de specificaties, zoals opgenomen op de website. Met hulp van de Amazon helpdesk omgeruild voor een versie met een Europese stekker.

To my surprise this product is intended for the United Kingdom and not for mainland Europe. This is not mentioned anywhere!
