QULA Kombucha Powder, Live Probiotic Prebiotic Drink Mix (Passionfruit)The kombucha powder arrived in a branded box that was sealed on one side of the top. Inside the box were ten individual 8- gram / 2.8 oz packets of mix. All ingredients are listed on the box and individual packets. For those who prefer to avoid erythritol this mix does contain it. The kombucha powder contains “kombucha liquid with scoby, apple cider vinegar, tapioca fiber” and the probiotic is listed as “bacillus coagulans; 1 bn cfu”.Each packet is easy to open because there’s an indented start spot on the upper right-hand side down just a bit from the top. The dry crystals have a brownish color to them and once mixed with 12 ounces of cold water (the crystals dissolved well) this passionfruit flavored kombucha does have an apple cider vinegar (ACV) look to it. The drink doesn’t taste strongly like ACV though, and there is a mild passionfruit flavor and sweetness. There was a very light aroma that I really had to look for.I prefer bottled kombucha (my favorite is a ginger lemonade that has a lot of carbonation) but these packets would be good to have on hand for when I run out of bottles or as a way to make kombucha while on-the-go.There were four sets of letters/numbers listed on the bottom of the box (BPO95 220322 QU201 032124) and QU201 032124 was on each packet, so I’m guessing 03/21/24 is the EXP date for these packets I received in June 2023. No added sugar. Vegan. Non-GMO. 1% for the Planet. Only “manufactured for …” info is listed, there’s no “Made in …” information that I could find.

I was very intrigued by this kombucha drink powder as I had never seen kombucha in powder form. The ingredients are quite straightforward, I don't see anything out of the ordinary ingredient wise. I appreciate that I can just pour this in a bottle of water and get some prebiotics and probiotics through this drink mix. It includes fruit fiber, the mother, apple cider vinegar etc.All things aside, I think I had some high hopes that this would have a better flavor. The problem isn't even that there is a "bad" flavor. Its that there isn't much flavor there at all. It leaves something to be desired. I appreciate the way this drink makes me feel and the benefits that are undoubtedly inside this drink but comparing it to other kombucha drinks i've had I wish it had a stronger flavor that was more distinctive.

I put some in a cold water and took it to work with me today. I was the passion fruit one. It had a good flavor. However for a dollar more, I can buy a freshly bottled Kombucha at the gas station that tastes better, with full fizz. These packets are great for people who want Kombucha, but don't want something that needs to be refrigerated or don't have space to take a bunch of bottles. They would be great to take camping or to keep in an RV kitchen or something like that.
