Superquick Country Town Shops - 1/72 OO/HO - Card Model Kit

Used for model railway, perfect for the layout.

Card kit which does not have tabs or overlaps to join the main building corners together. Uses single layer card as joing supports which kept coming unstuck. As with other reviewer some card was already cut through needing repair. Bought 4 kits in total and am regretting it. Finished model looks average.

This was my third Superquick purchase and by now I had gotten quite used to the assembly process, and learned that contact adhesive is better than PVA for quick assembly. Still not a fan of the way gutters and chimney pots are prepared using relatively thin card which detract from the otherwise good finish. Nevertheless a good addition to my small train layout and certainly good enough to impress the grandchildren which, after all, is why I am building a layout!!

Have only made one of the two Shops, the pattern has been cut to far through and some of the tab's came off as i made the Apple Tree Shop, not made the other shop as yet, also i purchased two other Kits by Superquick, not looked at these yet. hope they are of a better quality, will do an update when other shop has been made.Update,Completed the other house, this had the same problem as the other Building, as other reviews the instructions are poor and need improving. looked at the other two kits i purchased , the look as though they may have the same problems.I would not recommend this kits

Instructions easy to follow - however, beware using too much glue!

Getting difficult kits to find now

These models are beautifully drawn and engineered. Everything fits and the instructions are friendly and detailed. Full credit to the draughtsman who created them for us.
