Invicta Men's Russian Diver 18k Black/Gold Ion-Plated Stainless Steel Watch (1436)

There’s nothing to dislike about this watch; for a lower priced model this watch is VERY comfortable to wear, even though the poly strap is a little stiff i have had no problems with it. It’s beautiful to look at on the wrist and i love the blue lume which is pleasantly different for a Russian Diver and so far it’s keeping perfect time. I’ve worn it all day today and at times i forgot i was even wearing it...it’s that comfortable. I own 12 Russian Divers so far and counting because it’s my favorite style in my Invicta watch collection, and i’m currently in the works to buy 2 more! Most of my Russian Divers retail for $1,000.00 and up (but i don’t buy retail!). I’ve been collecting Invicta’s since early 2006 when ShopNBC was the best shopping network on TV! I tuned in EVERY night for their watch shows which were very entertaining. And all the collectors tuned in for Mr Skelton “the watch guru”. Everyone loved him, and during everyone of his presentations he always took a little time out for “horology 101”, teaching viewers the inner workings of a watch and even naming parts of a movement like the escapement wheel and cannon pinion. I learned so much from him. I bought my very first Invicta from him...the rosegold automatic pro diver with a gorgeous white M.O.P. Dial & roman numeral hr markers on a brown lizzard strap. The model was called the Pro Diver “Elagance” and it’s still in my collection. Even though i don’t wear 40mm watches anymore i still cherish this one. Back then they had all the best vendors like Ronato, SWI and Stuhrling. Even Lucien Picard, Croton and Android. And their CEO’s were regular co-hosts. Then ShopNBC sold out and eventually all their best hosts left. Now they’re called Evine and their watch shows are but a shadow of what they used to be. But i still love Invicta. They make the BEST watches for the best value. I now proudly own several hundred and STILL buying!

Lets first start off by saying I’m a big guy and this watch fits me. I’ve gotten comments about the look, which everyone considers very nice. I’ve been waiting to find a good deal on a Russian Diver from Invicta and this is it. Others reviews commented on that it may be an older model, but this appears to me to be a model that is a fairly newer in the Russian Diver class. This is a very good deal from Amazon at $90 and I bet you won’t find a better deal for this type of watch at any other Invicta seller.This watch is big, but this is the type of style watches are going to these days. The face on this is 52mm, which is the size I like. The band is comfortable and the barrel highlights add flair. The side “helmet and chain” add uniqueness to the watch itself!As an Invicta enthusiast, you’re getting a great watch for a very great price. I highly recommend this watch if you’re looking for a watch in the Russian Diver line.

This watch is very beautiful but I have a small wrist but I love big russian divers so anyone with a small wrist that buys this watch I reccomend to wear maybe a sweater or anything that can draw some attention away with it becuase looks a little funny on a small wrist and wearing a short sleeve shirt brings allot of attention to a already big and bright watch. But PEOPLE will notice how nice this watch is. Very worth your money. Jist brings allot of attention

This is a really big watch and the stem is also BIG. I'm worried that I will catch the chain on the stem on something and rip it off. The band looks nice but is not really comfortable. Again, the stem sort of digs into your wrist because of it large size. Keeps time OK. Nice contrast of gold and black plastic on the band.

This is a great looking watch. It looks very expensive with out the expensive price. I highly recommend you buy it.

This is a very impressive watch and would take time getting use to it. The band is very rigid and can clench up on your wrist. It is a beautiful time piece and hard to keep your eyes off of it. I have made Invicta purchases before and impressed wth the quality and design. Even though I returned this item, I would recommend it to others and it would just take a little time in getting used to wearing such a bold watch. I did purchase the 0554 which is gun-metal with a dark blue dial even though it is the same size and design of this watch. I just thought ,with the bright gold and extra large size combined, that it was a little "much" for me and the more subdued gun-metal was a better fit. Again, I do recommend this item as long as you are aware of the bold statement it makes.

Great watch. I like big watches and this watch is big and a statement piece.It does have some weight to it.if you don't like big heavy watches then this is not the watch for you.

I bought this watch for my 15 year son because he kept "borrowing" my Subaqua.It's surprisingly tough considering the beating he puts on it everyday.He loves the compliments he gets all the time and my other watches have mysteriously stopped disappearing and reappearing all the time!

If big and gold is good for you , then this is the watch to buy !! Very good looking too :)
