Bottari Gripsock - A must have for winter!
I bought a pair of these for my wife's Skoda Octavia last winter always sceptical about thier performance and bearing in mind that the promotion videos are trying to sell them to you. We visited Loch Turret near Crieff in the Highlands and found deep snow everywhere. The loch is reached by a single track which is a long and very steep climb up to the dam. On the way up we saw dozens of other vehicles heading back down including 4x4's, some paused to offer that the track was impassable. I continued until the tyres gave up grip and then stopped to fit the Gripsocks. Wow! What a difference. The driver of the Rover behind me watched with interest as I fitted them easily in a couple of minutes and then drove up the track as if on tarmac! The Rover attempted to follow but got stuck and turned back! We ended up being the only car in the car park.They work better than expected and inspire confidence providing you stick to the guidance and keep your speed controlled. Traction is vastly improved from struggling to grip to feeling as if the snow wasn't even there. On my recommendation, two work mates bought some too and both put them to good use, one even towing a VW camper that was helplessly stuck with them.You can become a littles messy when taking them off the tyres but better that than stuck.If like me you can't stretch to changing to winter tyres at £80 + per tyre and storage of summer tyres etc, these are the next best thing.

great fit and easy as well.
Not had any snow yet but I have tried fitting these and they were dead easy.I'm sure they will work well and have now taken up residence in the car boot.I think the only issue will be getting filthy when they are removed - but that's got to be better than being stuck with no grip -as an alternative to winter wheels they must be worth a go?
