Super Mario Odyssey: Kingdom Adventures, Vol. 1 Hardcover – 14 Nov. 2017

I purchased this book for my Super Mario obsessed 3 year old son.We always read a bedtime story- and he's always asking if I can get him a Super Mario book- and I've looked everywhere for an actual story book and struggled- so I decided to give this a go as he loves playing Mario Odyssey on the Nintendo switch.And he loves this book! It's not a story- but it explains in depth each kingdom. Little bits of information regarding the residents there, the surroundings, and what occurs.It's quite a small book- but it is a hardback- some pages have mostly pictures and a little information- some have lots of key points on.This book is not intended to help you with the game- there are no pointers or walk throughs- it's basically just information regarding each world.But my 3 year old loves it- and I'll be buying the others in the series for treats when he's been good.

My 5 year old son loves these books but I’m sure that’s more for the pictures than the reading of it. He plays the odyssey game so it’s all familiar to him. I don’t think he learns anything from the book to play the game. I think they are quite expensive for what it actually is but son likes them which is the main thing.

Great book, not a story book but still loved by my 5 year old! Smaller than I thought but perfect for little hands

We've got three of these volumes now as we have a Mario-obsessed 5 year old who laps up anything Mario related and we're always looking for bedtime stories that might keep his attention.It is truly atrocious to read aloud. I can't stress this enough. Honestly, it's like it was written by a machine who never heard it in their heads as they were writing. It's no good as a walk-through or guide to the games as it's far too flouncy and wordy to get to anything useful. It's also not a story book there's no plot. As another reviewer said, it's a description of each land and in that sense, it does its job. There is nothing else out there even vaguely suitable for children (unless you count colouring books) so it's the best you're going to get. Pictures are good.

Por um momento achei que teria uma espécie de passo a passo dos mundos. Mas está mais para um livro ilustrado para crianças. Sim, tem algumas dicas. Mas não como pegar todas as luas, atalhos etc.

Bought this book as a Christmas gift for a ten year old boy who is obsessed with Mario. The book is hard cover and came in great shape. The corners were all straight and the binding wasn’t cracked. The pages are a good quality. There was no fading of the pages.

Es ist das erste von insgesamt 6 Büchern, die man entweder alle einzeln oder als grosse Sammlerbox kaufen kann. Das Buch ist als Hardcover gebunden, zwar nicht sehr dick dafür mit dickem hochwertigen Papier in Artbook Qualität bedruckt. Schön fürs Auge und haptisch angenehm für die Hände. Auch das kleine handliche Format (wie eine CD-Hülle) ist ideal, um kurz darin zu schmökern. Das Buch besteht aus 3 Kapiteln. Jedes Kapitel spiegelt einen Level aus dem Spiel wider: Cap Kingdom & Cascade Kingdom & Sand Kingdom. Man findet wie in einem Reiseführer viele zusätzliche Infos, die so im Lösungsbuch nicht drinstehen.Natürlich braucht man weder das Lösungsbuch noch diesen Travel Guide, um Super Mario Odyssey zu spielen, aber es ist ein nettes Extra und man kann noch tiefer in diese geheimnisvolle und sehr liebevoll gestaltete Welt abtauchen.Für mich als Mario Fan ein toller Artikel, den ich nur wärmstens weiter empfehlen kann.Das Buch eignet sich durch die handliche Grösse und die vielen schönen Abbildungen auch für Kinder und jüngere Spieler, die noch nicht lesen können.Als Komplettbox sind die Adventure Guides übrigens günstiger als wenn man sie einzeln kauft.🎮 Ich gebe mir beim Schreiben all meiner Rezensionen und Bewertungen immer sehr viel Mühe.
