Merkur 41C Open Comb Safety Razor 1906 - No Blades Included

A nicely made razor. A pleasure to hold and use.

Some people call this the Merkur 1904 and others the 1906. Eitherway, this little open comb razor is very easy to use, despite it short handle. it is nicely balanced and gives a very good shave on first passing. It is not aggressive at all, especially if you apply little or no pressure.I have used it with Astra, and Feather blades and noticed little difference. The head seems to angle the blade just right. The hexagonal handle is very nice and I got used to it very quickly (I usually shave with the Muhler open comb which has a thicker and round handle). Overall I really enjoy using this razor and I love the utilitarian design.
