Picture was a little blury and layout was not as I did it when I placed the order. Very strong chemically smell too, which is not fading after 2 months. Still gave as a gift.

The design on the front is nice. However, this is a very poor quality item. When I eventually received it, I found that the material used is not wood, as described; it is chipboard. In turn, that means that the block is not "full coloured", as described; all 4 edges are plain chipboard - rough to the touch, unattractive to look at (photo attached of what chipboard looks like for those who don't know) and not capable of being painted to fix it. In short, the item I have received is not as described and is an unfinished item. As a result I couldn't give it as a gift in the state that it was in, so I've had to have it framed. If I had wanted to give a framed item, I could very easily have designed and printed something similar to the image printed on this block, to go in a frame (and that would have been much cheaper).In addition to all this, delivery took a long time. I received the item 11 days after ordering/sending the photo, and 7 days after last expected delivery date; when I contacted him, the seller sent me another and told me that the first must have got lost in the post. Perhaps that's true, and if so that's not the seller's fault; but if it had been sent Recorded Delivery (or similar), as I would have expected when sending an item like this, then that issue would have been much less likely to arise as there would have been a tracking option.I don't usually leave negative reviews. However I purchased this item as a Fathers Day gift, and used a photo of my Dad walking me down the aisle at my recent wedding. So it was special (or meant to be) and what I received was extremely late and -more problematically- far from what is advertised. I note that this seems to aimed at kids and teens as gifts for their friends - seems more than a little unfair. All in all, a disappointing experience.

This is a perfect gift for someone special. We chose the larger size and a picture of my daughter and her best friend, for his 13th birthday present. Being 100% personalised it's the ideal gift, especially as we don't always know what to get for him. It was easy to email the image and the wording to the seller, quoting the order number, as soon as I had placed the order.The design is printed onto a sturdy piece of MDF and will stand alone, or you can attach fixings and hang it on the wall.The finish is lovely and it arrives in good time and well wrapped to protect it.
