the handles tore off
I wouldn't say I use the steamdeck a lot, so I was extremely disappointed to see that the shoulders strap tore off completely, and now the hand strap too.

Amazing price , durable , quality materials
This handy Steam Deck carrying case and cover has paid for itself ten times over. I never knew how disorganized my kids games were until I bought this for my sons Steam. It has an extra compartment for his charger and also for a couple extra games. It’s water resistant so if you’re caught in the rain while traveling. no problem. The zippers are strong and glide smoothly ~ has been holding up to lots of use over the past few months. Both the case and cover are very sturdy which surprised me for the price I paid. Perfect fit, all buttons line up perfectly and it stays in place firmly. and installation took less than 2 minutes ~ very easy. Great value. I would buy this choice again if need be

An almost perfect hard case
There are many similar cases like this on Amazon right now but what set this apart was the shoulder strap it came with. Nobody really would travel with their deck while holding it like a briefcase. With the shoulder strap however the case suddenly becomes more useful to travel with. The exterior of the case feels exactly like the original hard case that ships with Valve. It's sturdy and water resistant and the zippers look and feel exactly the same. Both the length and width are identical however this case is slightly taller than the original. The sleight difference in height is made up for by the increase in space inside the case you can store accessories in.Inside the case is a cover that protects the screen that can hold multiple SD cards and maybe a short cable. Underneath the inside cover is a compartment with an adjustable velcro separator. I was pleased to see an adjustable separator since it allowed me to tailor the fit ito the items I put inside. I was able to fit a 10000 mah battery pack with a usb-c cable and the original charger in it perfectly. The cavities fit the Steam Deck exactly like the original and so it fits like a glove without the Deck shifting inside. The case is able to accommodate a normal protective case around the deck without stressing it. Just like the original case it holds the Deck upside down when carried. The only flaw I found was that the inside cover that protects the screen is a few millimeters too wide. When the Steam Deck is put inside, the cover hits the left joystick. You can see from the picture above that the cover slightly covers the left joystick. This can either press the joystick down when the lid is closed or if it is put under the joystick, slightly tilts it to the left. I only wish the cover were a few mms shorter lengthwise so it could avoid touching the joystick altogether. The product also advertises that the case can hold the Deck at an angle. While this is true, the angle can be a little awkwardly tilted too much when placed at dining table height and the adjustability is lacking. You'd be better served with a deck cover that has an adjustable kickstand imho.Overall I would say this is an almost perfect hardcase and is worth the purchase. The space inside is adequate for the essential accessories, the case looks and feels like the original, and it has a shoulder strap, a suitcase handle strap and a hand carry strap to tailor to your preferred way to carry it. It's a good case to put your Deck in for short trips outside and for use while waiting in a waiting room for example. If it weren't for the inside cover slightly hitting the left joystick it would be rated 5 stars.

Very sturdy
Maybe I'm just old, but I have a hard time keeping up with the kid's switch games because they are so darn small. This is a great idea because it holds a few games and keeps them safe when he takes it somewhere. It looks like a simple zip up bag, but it's actually a hard shell case. It's nice to know that it is protected if he accidentally drops it. It also can be used as a stand for the switch itself. You can hold it by the handle or use the shoulder strap to carry it.

Not as sturdy as the stock case but makes up for it
When I say not as sturdy, I don't really think the stock steam deck case is super sturdy either but this one is definitely less rigid on the outside. I wouldn't trust either to a fat guy sitting on it though, or even a child, they're meant to protect from minor drops and not much beyond that. On that front, this case is more or less fine. The internal storage is nice, it's soft, has indents for the joysticks across the top and fits the deck with a TPU cover. The space under the deck fits the charger and a few other things without trouble, though, I honestly only really bring the charger and a cleaning cloth with it, so while I could fit other stuff in there I haven't needed to.The stand/compartment cover flap is nicer than a couple other steam deck cases I've checked out in that it goes UNDER the Deck as opposed to over, meaning that it's held flat and is more secure for any SD cards you may have stuck in the slots. Then there's an elastic velcro connected strap you can put over the system to keep it from jostling around as much. This is a nice feature for that 'second chance' should you put your deck in and forget to zip it up, then pick up the case, though, you then have to hope you somehow managed to hook it seatbelt without zipping it up so who knows how useful it might be. My rule on this has been if it's in the case, it's zipped closed, it isn't in the case if it isn't zipped, and it's prevented any accidents so far.Material-wise it's clearly on the cheaper side compared to the stock case, being somewhat thin and just feeling not as good to the touch, but it is passable. It doesn't feel like it's going to fall apart any time or something. The handles are attached well and the sholder strap is fine, though, I wouldn't trust the clasps to protect it from someone strong enough just yanking it really hard, they WILL hold the system securely for normal use. The elastic band on the back is novel as well, though, not super practical in my opinion. Better use for it than holding all your stuff inside like the stock one...Overall this is a decent case, especially for the price, in fact, I think that if you were looking for a good case on a budget you probably couldn't do better than this. It's practically designed and has all the features I personally am looking for most notably the storage compartment being on the inside of the case instead of the outside. If you just want something that holds a few more accessories and has a shoulder strap, go for it, this isn't a bad deal.
