Don’t buy it for the patterns
The book says there are Patterns, but at least as far as the Kindle edition, they don’t exist. There are small diagrams one could blow up and use, I guess. The “Patterns” are a single small size and the grading techniques discussed in the book are very rudimentary -size up more than a little bit and the pattern shoulders will be enormous. As a resource for styles of the era, it’s not bad, but if you’re looking for vintage style patterns you can actually use, they’re not here.

Make a 1940s Capsule Wardrobe
Good range of garments and therefore patterns. The patterns seem clear and instructions are given for enlarging them. Techniques are shown by means of drawings, photographs and written instructions. I would think that these garments are achievable by most levels of sewist.

A nice but of "nos ".
Nice designs and fully explained, better than a modern pattern. I am looking forward to going through my stash for suitable bits.
