It's a bit fiddly to assemble (I used crimped ferrules on the wires to make it easier), but in use it gives confidence that it works safely.

Makes it easier to change over garden appliance with out the need of disconnecting the wall plug, be sure to order 2 and make sure to follow safety advice.

This connector can be used outside but I have used it to connect a broken wire in the lead of my vacuum cleaner. It's good quality and saved me a lot of money.

What a fiddly thing to attach to a cable. I bought this because I stupidly crushed the cable to my hedge trimmer under my ladder. It still worked but I didn't want to leave it like that so I bought this connector. If you really take care and don't let your mind wander then this is probably a simple thing to fit. But if like me you tend to be impatient and not always thinking about what you're doing, then its easy to make a mistake. Firstly make sure you've got the socket end attached to live end of your cable. Don't mix up the two covers as one of them has slots in it to fit one of the ends. And make sure that live and positive are in the correct position when plugged in. As I say, I faffed and had to take the thing apart again. And, lastly, the two parts can be plugged in the opposite way round, so make sure you mark one side of the plug so you know you're not mixing them up. Once tested I wrapped the who thing in tape to prevent it from coming apart. Not fool proof if you don't watch what you're doing.

More than adequate for the job, but not waterproof to leave outdoors permanently.A bit worried by some answers to the questions. It's for twin core cable. Polarity changes 50 times a second so it matters not a jot which way round they are connected. If you are in any doubt, consult someone who knows what they are on about.The connector doesn't have a massive 'bite' i.e. it will pull apart relatively easily, it acts like a breakaway coupling. This means that if you over extend the cable it will disconnect rather than ty to pull the plug out of the socket or the socket off the wall.

Used it to fix a cable on a hedge trimmer that got cut thru. it Feels a bit flimsy but works well it would have been better if it was rubber instead of a cheap plastic. but it does the job.

Was a bit fiddly but once you pushed the cable through the connector came out was easy. Does the job well.

Used this after my darling daughter sliced through the hedgecutter line. Really easy to connect. Just be sure to read the instructions.
