Excellent song book of great acoustic songs with guitar chord notation and chord box notation above the song to ensure you’re playing the right form of those chords.

These books are the ideal book for guitarists who just need that reminder when playing. Easy to read with lyrics and chord boxes no tab, but ideal for prompting the memory, simple and well laid out.I bought 4 of these books - Rock Classics - Rock Hits - Acoustic Hit Songs - More Acoustic Hits, not one duplicate song among them.... incredible. Each book has a minimum of 70 up to 130 songs in easy format A-Z content, of all the classic songs by various artists ranging from Joni Mitchell to Metallica, Bowie,Robbie Williams, Bryan Adams etc. Seriously recommended

Pros:Some cracking songs in here to have a go at, for all tastesAccurate chords, unlike some books I've tried..and also accurate words - I've come across some horrible misheard lyricsLaid out like standard chord sheets, and most of the songs can be viewed on one page, or over two pages, same foldFits into your guitar case and won't take up loads of roomClear suggestions at the top of each song to make the best out of playing it (Capo, tuning etc)Cons:It is rather small, you couldn't read the chords at "standard" distance from a music standSome peculiar and rather obscure choices. I personally don't listen to Disney songs, and for Morrissey I would have chosen "What Difference Does It Make?" over "This Charming Man" - mostly for ease of singing itSome are a little difficult to pitch and it would be nice to have a starting note or two (not bothered that there's no music, I didn't expect any)For those who are finding the songs too high or too low need to buy a capo and learn how to use it, and to also learn how to transpose. Don't be scared, it's pretty easy, and there's lots of free software on the internet to help you.

This is a great small book that will easily fit into anyone's gig bag as it is roughly A5 size and about an inch thick which I thing is a great size if you just want to carry something around so you have some sort of reference with you on the basic structure on some popular songs.the book is set out so that you don't have to turn a page mid song which is really handy, the only down side to this is that the righting is quite small so you can't just have it on the floor next to you it does have to be quite close so you can read it especially if like me you need glasses.Each song has the relevant chords to that song shown in chord boxes at the top of each song so you know and can easily look at what chord they mean if like me you are a beginner and you don't have to keep looking back to the star or the end of the book for the finger placement of that particular chord. The notation is set up with the chord letter above the words but it does not have timings or strumming patterns so if you don't have the track you might struggle unless you are really good at playing guitar or you just want to make one up.The pages do not lie flat when open so a bit of encouragement might be needed to keep the page that you want or something to hold it open would also work.I am very pleased with this book and would definitely recommend it but then I am a beginner and the more experienced of you might find it a little basic and lacking in some info that you might want.

Songs good, but design of book makes it difficult to use. Spiral bound would have been fine, but the book just closes as you are playing unless propped open by a large cushion or other heavy object, and then the chord shapes get covered.

A variety of songs cord shape are shown at top of page G. C. Am. etcWell illustrated ideal for beginners who have 6 or 7 cords down with relative ease and more advanced players.

got this second hand for a fiver , it is small great to fit in a bag , but could be a problemif you have bad eyesight my eyesight if perfect , just wish it was binded as maybe a problem keeping it open but apart from that i’m happy

This was a surprise present for my friend who had lost her Little Black Songbook while living in Peru. She mentioned a few times how much she missed it because it was full of classic guitar favourites that she loved to play. So I secretly found it on Amazon and bought it for her. When I gave it to her she actually shed a tear of delight! In my opinion, this is the best recommendation I can give :)

Very good song selection and good book in print format, but avoid the ebook: all songs were published as images with very low resolution, making it hard to read. Disappointing!

中古本で買いました。でもその汚れが「血」でした。仕方ないでしょうが、ヤッパリそのページの曲は見ないですね。結構あるのですがw販売店のポリシーはバツですね。二度と買いません。
