Suzanne Rheinstein: A Welcoming Elegance

This book illustrates outstanding traditional design with an updated sensibility. Beautiful details. Lovely photography that captures the rooms from many angles. I own her other books and am happy to have added this to my library. Her work is inspiring.Mrs. Rheinstein recently passed away. This book is her last. She writes about her designs but also mentions her health issues which I felt was very brave.

Love this book. The Rhienstein is one of my favorite decorators. I loved her first book and this is another wonderful book. It proudly and very usefully sits on my coffee table. If you love interior design— you will enjoy reading Her story and thoughts and the wonderful photos.

I'm so glad I ordered this volume. Instructive of a timeless, calm, and confident sensibility, each room pictured is better than the last. Textures, colors, arrangements -- approachable perfection. The book is itself, with its splendid jacket, a wonderful object that I will absorb slowly while I try to learn from it. If you like design books, this is the one.

Suzanne was one of the best interior decorators in the country. Her sophisticated, timeless interiors were comfortable above all, and full of whimsy and color. Her antiques combined with modern touches reached the pinnacle of taste and style.

What a beautiful sampling of Suzanne's life's work! Her spaces are understated and beautiful. The cover is brightest room but the rest are very pleasing and serene. I love the way she combines color, fabric, old and new.

There was know wow factor with the interiors of these homes. The book jacket was misleading.

I am so very sad that Ms. Rheinstein has left us but what a legacy! This book is a final testament to a glorious life dedicated to the finest of everything! I am so grateful for her contribution to our visual world.

Beautiful book with lots of stunning photos for inspiration. A definite coffee table book.

General reading

Absolutely beautiful homes and interior design from an icon. So terribly sad she died just before the release of this book in the UK. She will be missed and this marks the end of an era. Enjoy this book in her memory.
